NEW: ERO San Francisco arrested Hector Morales-Sales, 32, of Guatemala, March 17. Morales was sentenced to two years in prison for vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and cruelty of a child resulting in possible injury or death.

Today, Corporal Timothy J. O’Connor Jr. of the Pennsylvania State Police was laid to rest at St. Joseph Parish in Downingtown.

Corporal O’Connor, a 15-year veteran of the State Police, a loving husband and father, was killed in the line of duty on March 8, 2026, when a driver opened fire during a traffic stop in West Caln Township in Chester County.

We stand in solidarity with the Pennsylvania State Police and communities across the Commonwealth in mourning this tragic and senseless loss of life.

Our thoughts are with his family, fellow troopers, and all who knew him.🙏🏻

NEW: ERO San Francisco arrested Marcos Valdovinos-Rodriguez, 26, of Mexico, March 16.  Valdovinos served a year in jail for DUI and evading a peace officer. He also served four years in prison for inflicting corporal injury on his spouse. He was removed to Mexico March 17.

Michigan: Canton police rescued the driver and passengers from a semi that caught on fire due to an SUV traveling at high speeds, colliding with it at an intersection.

Canton Township Police Chief Joseph Bialy said, "Our responding officers quickly took action, going into the fire and removing all of the occupants from the vehicles."

All 5 people involved in the wreck and 4 police officers who were admitted into the hospital are expected to survive.
