WATCH: Four weeks ago, a frustrated ICE agent in the sanctuary city of Boston contacted me, telling me a group of anti-ICE agitators had just blown their operation to arrest a Salvadoran fugitive who is wanted in his home country on an arrest warrant for child rape & had been living near a Boston elementary school.
He told me while he & his team were in their vehicles surveilling the target's residence in East Boston & waiting for him to come out, the ICE team was quickly surrounded by activists who blew whistles, cursed at them, and said they were traumatizing children at the nearby school down the street. Their cover was blown, the whole neighborhood was alerted, and the child rapist wasn't arrested.
The agent provided me several videos of the activists interfering that day (February 12th) as they unknowingly protected the child rapist from ICE arrest due to blind opposition to ICE. The agent asked me to sit on the videos until they were able to arrest the target.
Iβm told that fugitive target is now in ICE custody four weeks later (arrested March 10th). The agent says the target, a child rapist, was on the streets four weeks longer than he should have been because activists interfered without having any clue who they were protecting - and they dealing with this almost every day.
Iβm told his the targetβs name is WALTER ROBERTO VIDES-ORTEZ, a Salvadoran national who crossed the Texas border illegally in 2016, the same year that El Salvador issued an arrest warrant for him for the offense of child rape.

New info from Dallas PD: Crockettβs security detail who was killed in a SWAT standoff was driving a car with stolen U.S. government plates, had been wearing fake police uniforms pretending he was a federal agent, and created a fraudulent business where he used fake identifying information to hire legitimate police officers for off-duty jobs.

Corporal Timothy OβConnor chose a life of service, dedicating himself to protecting others and standing for something greater than himself. That commitment speaks to the kind of person he was: someone who showed up for his community with courage, humility, and heart.
His life was taken far too soon, leaving behind a loving wife and daughter, family, friends, fellow officers, and a community that now mourns his loss.
In moments like this, words never feel like enough. But what endures is the strength of community, the way people come together to support one another, to remember, and to ensure that a life of service is never forgotten.
Today we pause to honor a man who dedicated his life to protecting others and serving the community he cared about so deeply.
Our hearts are with his wife and daughter, his loved ones, his fellow officers, and all those grieving this unimaginable loss.
Chester County stands together in remembrance and gratitude for his service.
May his memory always be a blessing. π

It's well-known that California doesn't require Voter ID, even as citizens had to present identification (and medical records) to enter a Starbucks during COVID. What's less well-known is that California is the only state to forbid Voter ID, making it unlawful at the local level.

β οΈLos Angeles-area police are issuing a warning over a crime called "bank jugging," which targets people after they withdraw cash from their bank or ATM.
If you notice the keypad on a gas pump feels unusual β like itβs pushed out, made of plastic, or harder than normal to press β it could be a card skimmer installed over the keypad.
One quick way to check is by gently lifting or peeling at the corners of the keypad. If it moves or lifts, it may be a skimming device.
Always stay alert and protect your information when paying at the pump. π³β½

We are heartbroken to share that K9 Lucas has made his final imprint on our hearts.
His End of Watch was Saturday, March 14, 2026, surrounded by those who loved and adored him. Twelve years was far too short for us, and we wish we could have had him by our side much longer.
Lucas and Sgt. Magee helped trailblaze our K9 program, setting the standards high for the teams that followed. More than a police K9, Lucas was a beloved member of our department family and a familiar, joyful presence in our community.
βHe was a son of the great Berry II. Lucas was truly unique. Not only in his genetics and working ability, but also in his personality. He loved people. He loved his coworkers. Heβd spring into Records, Dispatch, and even the Chiefβs office because he knew there might be treats waiting for him. He was an amazing partner, and truthfully, I was just trying to keep up with him. I was the lucky one to be paired with him.β
β Sgt. Magee
Lucas loved his brothers, K9 Koa and K9 Rohen, and he had a special place in his heart for Morgan. We loved him for his goofy smile, the way he would nudge and lean into us for a pat (or a treat), and the way he adored his handler.
Even in retirement, Lucas made sure everyone knew the department was still his. His visits to the station were always a highlight, walking the halls like he owned them, greeting the people who loved him most.
Run free, Lucas. Thank you for your service, your loyalty, and the joy you brought to our department and community. You will always be part of the Campbell Police family.ππΎ
