The Idaho State Police  sadly announced the retirement of Explosive Detection K-9 Kimber, following an aggressive cancer diagnosis.

Since 2022, she has supported security operations at the Idaho State Capitol, as well as at state facilities throughout the Boise area.

Happening Now: Large Police Activity at Circle - K in Laguna Beach - reports of high school students allegedly having squirt guns mistaken for real guns for “Senior Assassin Game” which is a popular, often unsanctioned, high school graduation-season game where students use water guns to “eliminate” assigned targets to win a cash pot. NEW: A Grand Isle man is due in Vermont Superior Court in North Hero on Thursday after he reportedly used his car to strike a deputy sheriff and fled the scene Wednesday night, Vermont State Police said.

Kevin Marx, 36, was stopped for a traffic violation on U.S. 2 near Vermont 314 (Ferry Road) about 8:10 p.m. and was issued a ticket by a Grand Isle County Deputy Sheriff, officials said.

After he was released, Marx reportedly turned his car around on U.S. 2 and aimed for the deputy sheriff as he headed back to his marked police cruiser pulled over on the road, officials said.  

The deputy, Sgt. Nicholas Pillsbury of Essex Junction, was struck by the car and dragged off the road toward a tree line, where it stopped, police said. Pillsbury was discharged from the hospital this morning, state police said.

An NYPD officer was injured after being struck in the head with an object in the Bronx on Thursday.

The incident happened just before 5:30 p.m. at the Fordham Road subway station in the Fordham section.
Officials say police located a 41-year-old man that was wanted for an assault that happened earlier in the day around noon at East 157th Street and Gerard Avenue.
As officers approached the man, the suspect threw an unidentified object that struck the officer in the head.
