In Other News: A North Carolina woman has sued the Los Angeles Dodgers for negligence after she suffered an injury when she was hit in the shoulder by a BuzzBall alcoholic drink container during a game in August 2025.

The woman, who is representing herself in the lawsuit, says that the drink, which is sold at the stadium and served in a circular-shaped container, “was thrown, dropped, or otherwise propelled from an elevated seating or standing area above” where she was sitting. She says that it “struck her directly in the shoulder with significant force.”

The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday and says that she has suffered and continues to suffer physical pain, emotional distress and loss of enjoyment on top of past and future medical expenses. She is seeking unspecified damages and wants a trial by jury.

Minnesota: One person died and three others were injured after a Ramsey County deputy responding to a pursuit collided with another vehicle Tuesday night in Saint Paul.

According to authorities, Saint Paul police officers located a vehicle reported stolen out of Minneapolis near Seventh Street East and Maria Avenue around 10:45 p.m. Officers began following the vehicle and prepared to initiate a traffic stop as it approached Interstate 94 and Highway 280.

Investigators say the driver fled westbound on Interstate 94 when officers attempted to stop the vehicle. A Minnesota State Patrol trooper performed a PIT maneuver to disable the vehicle and end the pursuit.

Paramedics transported the deputy and the three occupants of the other vehicle to a hospital. The driver of that vehicle later died, one passenger remains in serious condition and the other passenger suffered injuries described as not life-threatening. The deputy’s injuries were also described as not life-threatening. Please, pray for all involved🙏🏻

New York: A Rochester police officer was injured Tuesday afternoon during the arrest of a man accused of assaulting a woman during a domestic dispute, according to the Rochester Police Department.
Police said officers responded around 12:30 p.m. to Upper Falls Boulevard and Thomas Street for a report of a family disturbance. During the argument, investigators said the suspect pushed a woman to the ground, causing a head injury.

Officers located the suspect, identified as Antonio Poole, 36, inside a nearby vehicle, police said. He refused repeated commands to exit and became confrontational, according to the department.
While officers were attempting to remove him from the vehicle, the car struck one officer in the lower body, causing injury, police said. The officer was taken to a local hospital and is expected to be out of work for an undetermined period.

San Bernardino police officers were in pursuit of a stolen vehicle on Wednesday afternoon when the suspect drove onto some train tracks and collided with a train.

UPDATE: Volusia Deputy Jose Rivera greeted by several law enforcement members, moments after being released from the hospital.

Deputy Rivera was shot twice while investigating a vandalism call on Monday. His bodycam was shot, deflecting the bullet to his shoulder. He was also shot in the thigh, officials said.
