Update on the injured Pasadena PD officer: On March 2, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Pasadena Police Officers responded to a 9-1-1 call in the area of Sierra Madre Station. Upon arrival, officers located an adult victim suffering from a gunshot woundโฆ
UPDATE: Last night, a brave Police Officer in Pasadena, California is fighting through surgery after being shot in the line of duty while responding to reports of gunfire. When others were running away from danger, this officer ran toward it โ answering the call to protect complete strangers.
This is the reality of the badge. Every shift begins with a promise to serve and protect, knowing full well it could cost everything. Families say goodbye at the door not knowing if their loved one will make it home. Tonight, one of Americaโs heroes is in the hospital because they chose courage over comfort.
The suspect is deceased, but the fight for this officerโs life and recovery is just beginning.
Please take a moment to pray for the officer, their family, their fellow officers, and the entire Pasadena community.๐๐ป

WATCH LIVE: President Donald J. Trump hosts roundtable with Big Tech execs aimed at curbing power costs for Americans
POTUS on Iran: "We're going to continue to do well. We have the greatest military in the world, by far. That was a tremendous threat to us for many yearsโ47 years... Their missiles are being wiped out rapidly... and they would've used it on us if we let them."
POTUS on the Ratepayer Protection Pledge: "We're here this afternoon for a historic signing that will help keep down your utility bills... Big Tech companies are committing to fully cover the cost of increased electricity production required for AI data centers."
POTUS: "The tech companies and the data centers will be able to get the electricity they need, all without driving up electricity costs for consumers."
SecretaryWright at the Ratepayer Protection Pledge roundtable: "We're going to win in AI โ AND we're going to stop the rise of electricity prices because of the seven leaders that are sitting around this table."
SpeakerJohnson on the Ratepayer Protection Pledge: "This is a win-win-win across the board... trust is not given by communities and local stakeholders, it's built over timeโand I think this pledge is a huge part of building that important foundation for the future."
SenJonHusted: What you are offering today with the Ratepayer Protection Pledge is great leadership because this solves the problem that people were worried about. As the data centers build new power plans, it leads to energy stabilityโaffordable, reliable electricity.
"American AI leadership should never come at the cost of hardworking Americans' ability to pay their electricity bills," says mkratsios47 at the Ratepayer Protection Pledge roundtable.
"Today, through this pledge, we are challenging all of these companies to think bigger when it comes to data center construction by identifying ways that we can drive down the overall electricity cost..."
Ruth Porat, President and CIO of Alphabet and Google: "To protect American ratepayers, weโre committed not only to pay for 100% of the energy we use, but, very importantly, the infrastructure to support that growth, whether or not we end up using that energy."
POTUS signs a proclamation announcing the Ratepayer Protection Pledge to ensure American AI dominance, while also ensuring that Americans aren't stuck with higher electric bills as a result
xAI commits to develop 1.2 gigawatts of power as their supercomputer's primary power source:
"That will be for every additional data center as well. We will expand what is already the largest global Megapack power installation in the world. The installation will provide enough backup power to power the city of Memphis, and more than sufficient energy to power to the town of Southaven, Mississippi where the data center resides."

Last night we had the chance to cheer on Tyler Martin, the son of fallen Houston Police Officer Richard Martin, as he played baseball for the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in what was his final game in the Houston area.
Tyler had a strong group in the stands supporting him, including retired Captain Paul Follis, retired Lt. Rebecca Follis, HPOU Vice President Tim Whitaker, HPOU Executive Director Ray Hunt, and Tylerโs sister Cynthia.
It was a great night of baseball and a good reminder that the families of our fallen heroes remain part of our law enforcement family. We were proud to be there supporting Tyler. ๐โพ๐บ๐ธ

BREAKING: The shooter who fired at officers after fleeing a border checkpoint is identified by DPS as James Douglas McMillan, 33, of Greenfield, Wisconsin and was driving a stolen car from Arizona, Brooke Taylor reports.
According to DPS, around 10:30 am, McMillan fled a checkpoint along I-10 in Sierra Blanca after a USBP drug K-9 alerted to the vehicle and agents directed McMillan to pull over for a secondary search. He led officers on a high speed chase and began shooting out the window at DPS Troopers, other responding law enforcement from the Culberson Co. Sheriffโs Office, Hudspeth Co. Sheriffโs Office, Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC) and indiscriminately at civilian vehicles.
As law enforcement returned fire, DPS Troopers performed a precision immobilization technique (PIT) maneuver and successfully stopped the suspect car. McMillan barricaded himself in his car and eventually pointed his weapon towards officers โ officers then discharged their weapons. He was then shot and killed by law enforcement. No law enforcement officers or civilians were injured.
