'We're at war,' the president announced in the meeting with US diplomats at the Intercontinental Hotel in New York on Thursday, in the clip first obtained by Bloomberg News. A furious Trump, branded the whistle-blower 'highly partisan' and 'sick' before demanding to know how he got his hands on the report. 'I want to know who's the person, who's the person who gave the whistle-blower the information?' he spat, with visceral fury. Because that's close to a spy,' he added, before going on to attack the whistle-blower's credibility. 'Basically, that person never saw the report, never saw the call, he never saw the call, heard something and decided that he or she, or whoever the hell they saw - they're almost a spy.'

The man who killed 10 pedestrians in the Toronto van attack last April told police he had 'accomplished his mission' and spoke of an uprising of 'involuntary celibates' in a disturbing interview just hours after the rampage. Alek Minassian is facing 10 murder charges for driving a rental van into crowds of people on April 23 last year, killing eight men and two women and injuring another 16 people. The attack drew attention to an online world of sexual loneliness, rage and violent misogyny after the suspect used the extremist language of so-called 'incels'. 'I know of several other guys over the internet who feel the same way,' Minassian said, adding they were 'too cowardly to act on their anger.'

Hundreds of wildfires spread across Alabama as temperatures hit 100 DEGREES amid a sweltering Southern drought affecting 11MILLION people. In a Tuesday report from the U.S. Drought Monitor, heat has been increasing and conditions worsening across several states in the southeast, including Alabama and Georgia. Both states have shifted from being partially ‘abnormally dry’ and experiencing ‘moderate drought’ to nearly the entire area listed as too dry. According to the Drought Monitor report, dryness is escalating in the southeast region. ‘Another round of late-summer heat and persistent acute short-term dryness led to a sharp increase in drought intensity and coverage,’ the report said. 🔥
Last night's Eagles vs Packers clash was rocked by nasty helmet-on-helmet collisions which saw two NFL stars stretchered off the field. High-octane levels of contact dominated the match in Wisconsin from the opening when Greenbay star Jamaal Williams suffered a bruising late charge in the first quarter. The referee immediately stopped the game as teammates circled the injured player with worry before medics rushed over. Barnett was reprimanded for unnecessary charging his opponent, but was not sent off. 🏈😱

There appears to be light at the end of the negotiations tunnel for General Motors and United Auto Workers two weeks into the union's nationwide strike. A new labor deal could be signed by both parties as soon as this weekend, according to ABC News, after talks reached a pivotal point two days ago. 'All unsettled proposals are now at the Main Table and have been presented to General Motors, and we are awaiting their response,' UAW vice president Terry Dittes wrote in a union members update on Wednesday. 'This back and forth will continue until negotiations are complete,' he added.
