NEW: Elijah Isaiah Potts, 21, of South Los Angeles, was sentenced today to 10 years in federal prison for committing follow-home armed robberies in Southern California last year, including brandishing a firearm within feet of a 10-month-old baby while a Rolex wristwatch was stolen from the child’s father after a family shopping outing in Sherman Oaks.
Devin Matthew Thomas, 19, of South Los Angeles, a co-defendant, pleaded guilty today to one count of Hobbs Act robbery and will face up to 20 years in federal prison at his June 12 sentencing hearing.
