DRONE LOCATES STOLEN CAR

When a stolen vehicle was spotted in the downtown area, the Drone as First Responder (DFR) unit launched immediately to provide aerial support.

On Jan. 31, 2026, the suspect vehicle began driving recklessly, cutting off motorists and pedestrians, traveling the wrong direction on roadways, and running multiple red lights — creating significant danger to the public. From above, the DFR unit maintained continuous visual contact and provided real-time location updates to responding officers.

The drone’s overhead perspective allowed patrol units to position strategically while minimizing risk to the community. Our air unit continued following the vehicle, providing officers awareness without escalating the danger on the ground.

The suspect eventually abandoned the vehicle in a residential neighborhood and fled into a nearby residence. The DFR unit, working in coordination with the air unit, provided critical aerial overwatch as K9 and patrol officers approached and made entry.

The suspect was safely apprehended. He's been booked for several felony charges.

This incident highlights the growing impact of the DFR program — enhancing situational awareness, reducing risk to officers and the public, and increasing the likelihood of safe, successful apprehensions.

NYC: Baychester Blvd & Mall Blvd, a large group of reckless teenagers disrupted operations at the Mall at Bay Plaza in the Baychester area of the Bronx.

Reports indicate that up to 500 teens, primarily aged 13 to 19, gathered yesterday for a planned "takeover" event promoted on social media platforms like TikTok. The crowd moved through stores, knocking over displays, taking merchandise without payment, and breaking windows, including at a nearby McDonalds. Objects such as bottles, ice chunks, and chairs were thrown at responding police officers.

Officers from the NYPD responded following multiple 911 calls for crowd control. Eighteen individuals were arrested: 17 juveniles and one 19-year-old is facing charges including rioting and unlawful assembly. No serious injuries occurred.

When you cut police officers, limit proactive enforcement, and have weak laws that put the interests of perpetrators, including repeat offenders, over victims, you get the DUI crisis California residents are suffering through. This is not a theoretical debate. These decisions have tragic consequences on people’s lives.

Please, pray for the two Oregon State troopers and K-9 officer who were seriously injured in the line of duty yesterday afternoon.🙏🏻

Two Oregon State Police troopers were seriously injured in a crash involving a tractor-trailer Monday.

The collision happened at around 7:30 a.m. on a highway exit ramp near The Dalles, KGW-TV reports. Two troopers in an Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife cruiser were responding to a crash with an unloaded log tractor-trailer.

While the troopers were investigating the incident, another tractor-trailer struck their cruiser. The semi's trailer was loaded as it traveling down an interstate exit ramp.

The troopers were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, and they were in stable condition. K-9 was in the cruiser at the time and was taken to a veterinarian.

Wyoming: Update on WB I-80. Two large crashes one had 16 vehicles involved the other had 7. Between those, there were 4 separate 2 vehicle crashes. All of this happened between MP 274 & 273. Three people were transported w/minor injuries.  WB I-80 will be clear sometime after midnight.

TEEN SHOT AND KILLED IN NAVY YARD DC: a teenage male has been shot and killed on the corner of Third Place and K Street SE in Washington DC’s Navy Yard neighborhood.

At around 6:45pm, DC Police and Fire & EMS were called out to the area for a shooting.

A teenage male, believed to be 18 years old, was pronounced dead on the scene. The gunman then fled on a Lime scooter, according to DC Police.

DC Police and Homicide detectives, US Capitol Police, DC Housing Authority Police, and DC Forensic Services remain on scene.
