WATCH: Police in Olympia, Washington, used a grappler to stop a suspected drunk driver who sped from a traffic stop on February 12, blowing through red lights and stop signs in an attempt to evade police.

After the officer attempted a traffic stop, the driver fled, speeding down Interstate 5 with no lights on after driving in the wrong direction on Martin Way. Police said the driver, who appeared “extremely intoxicated,” was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, and attempting to elude an officer.

Georgia: A Richmond County sheriff’s deputy was hospitalized Sunday afternoon after a driver lost control and struck his patrol car while he was investigating an earlier accident on I-20.

The deputy was sitting in his stationary patrol vehicle in the left breakdown lane of westbound I-20 near Washington Road around 2:30 p.m. when another vehicle hit the rear of his car. He was transported by ambulance to a hospital for treatment.

BREAKING: Multiple people shot at Pawtucket ice skating rink in Rhode Island.

The arena is an indoor ice skating rink on Andrew D Ferland Way.

An employee at the Walgreens nearby told Target 12 that a couple children came into the pharmacy panicking, saying there was a shooting. The employee said they were told to close and evacuate the building. They called 911 and the children hid inside the store.

Pueblo Metro Bomb Squad Para-Technicians Injured

On February 12, 2026, at approximately 10:35 AM, the Pueblo Metro Bomb Squad (PMBS) Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Technicians and Para-Technicians were conducting the evidence-processing phase of an ongoing criminal investigation in the safety of the Pueblo Police Department’s bomb range.

During this process, an explosive device seized as part of the criminal investigation inadvertently detonated while personnel were attempting to render the device safe and collect evidence for the criminal case.

This incident resulted in first- and second-degree burns to one officer and first-, second- and third-degree burns to another. Both officers were immediately transported for medical care.

“Today is a difficult day; two of our team members were injured while serving the community of Pueblo.  We’re holding them close in our hearts and will stand beside them through the recovery process,” said Chief of Pueblo Police Chris Noeller.

The injuries to the two officers are not life-threatening; however, the officer with third-degree burns was transported to a Denver burn unit for treatment and remains hospitalized. The other officer was treated and released. No community members or other staff were injured in this incident, and there  was no danger to the public at any time during the render safe procedure.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) agency is assisting with the seized device and the ongoing criminal investigation.
