A deputy and a Loveland police K-9 were injured during a DUI arrest on Feb. 5 in Loveland, Colorado.

The suspect, a 50-year-old Greeley man, fought with officers, was tased, and then attacked when the K-9 was deployed. The man was arrested and charged with assault and cruelty to animals. The K-9, Nazar, and the deputy sustained minor injuries and are expected to recover.
