Texas: A Houston police detective suffered minor injuries in a violent crash in Midtown after a brief chase involving a suspected stolen vehicle, police said.

The crash happened near the intersection of Travis Street and Holman Street. From Air 11, a vehicle could be seen flipped over and burned at the scene.

Police said the incident began with a report of a stolen vehicle. Officers later spotted the suspected stolen truck and gave chase.

According to Houston police, the chase ended when the suspect hit the car driven by the detective, who was not involved in the chase. The suspect’s truck flipped over and caught fire after the crash.

Investigators said the suspect kicked out the back window of the truck in an apparent attempt to escape before being taken into custody. The suspect complained of back pain and was being treated.

The injured detective is expected to be OK. Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for his recoveryπŸ™πŸ»

WATCH: Lee Zeldin tells me he plans to pressure insurance companies after meeting and speaking with fire victims in Pacific Palisades.

β€œWe’re going to make it clear β€” they can’t get away with it. Pay what you owe. This money is needed for people to rebuild.”

Zeldin says he’ll take those concerns back to Washington.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee is mourning the loss of Lt. Randy Brown, a 30-year veteran of the agency described by colleagues as a pillar of professionalism and compassion.

Brown, 64, died Wednesday while undergoing a major medical operation, Sheriff Eddie Farris announced.

Brown’s career with the sheriff’s office spanned three decades, beginning in September 1996 as a corrections deputy. Over the years, he became a familiar face across the county, serving as a patrol deputy before moving into a role that many residents remember him for most: a School Resource Deputy.

Bombshell LA Times Report: Mayor Bass Directed Watering Down of Palisades Fire After-Action Report.

Mayor Karen Bass is firing back at a bombshell report in the Los Angeles Times, in which sources tell Paul Pringle and Alene Tchekmedyian, that Bass personally directed that the Palisades Fire After-Action report be "watered down," to downplay failures by the city and the Los Angeles Fire Department in combating the deadly blaze. Bass denying the reporting, calling the piece "misinformation," and hitting out at the Times' use of anonymous sources. With more on the reporting, the roadblocks in covering the fire, and how his reporting has shaken up the L.A. Mayoral race, Cher Calvin and Micah Ohlman are joined by Los Angeles Times Investigative Reporter Paul Pringle.

Earlier today, the Trenton Police Department attempted to serve a felony warrant when the suspect fled the scene on foot.

The Butler County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit was requested to assist in locating the suspect. Deputy Davenport deployed K-9 RADD from the suspect’s residence to begin a track.

During the search, K-9 RADD exhibited a clear change of behavior as he entered the scent cone and ultimately located the suspect, who was lying face-down in the snow attempting to hide.

The subject was wanted on Felony Aggravated Possession of Drugs and by multiple agencies. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and without a bite.

Outstanding work by Deputy Davenport and a very GOOD BOY to K-9 RADD for another successful apprehension!
