Wisconsin safety is ejected for brutal 'targeted' hit on Michigan quarterback Dylan McCaffrey that left the junior play caller with a concussion. With 2:32 left in the third, Wisconsin safety Reggie Pearson blasted McCaffrey, the younger brother of Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey, with a shoulder to the helmet. Pearson was for targeting, ejected and will miss the first half of Wisconsin's game next week against Northwestern. After the game, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh said McCaffrey had a concussion, but that it was 'clearing up for him.'๐Ÿˆ

Police officers in Paris have used tear gas to break up anti-government demonstrators after crowds started to gather in the streets ahead of a busy afternoon of events and protests in the French capital. More than 7,000 officers are to be deployed for rallies today over fears that yellow vest protesters could try to infiltrate a march against climate change which is also planned. This morning police in riot gear were moving quickly to disperse those around the Champs-Elysees avenue, Saint-Lazare train station and Madeleine plaza - areas where protests have been banned this weekend. Most demonstrators didn't wear the fluorescent vests that gave the movement its name and authorities said more than 100 people have been arrested and 596 security controls have been implemented. Demonstrators in Bordeaux, south-west France, were also seen posing with upside-down portraits of French President Emmanuel Macron next to the EU and French flags.
A fifth death has been linked to Tropical Storm Imelda after devastating rainfall submerged parts of Texas. The body of Mark Dukaj, 52, of Florida was found inside a stalled vehicle on Thursday on 1-10, the Texas Department of Safety said. Jefferson County spokeswoman Allison Getz said officials believe Dukajโ€™s death was storm related, but donโ€™t think the man drowned despite water seeping into his vehicle. An upcoming autopsy will confirm the cause of death. On Friday, authorities discovered the dead body of Malcolm Foster, 47, in his Toyota Prius after floodwaters decreased in Beaumont, according to a statement. Hunter Morrison, 19, of Jefferson County was electrocuted and subsequently drowned while moving his horse to high ground when an electrical storm struck earlier this week. An unidentified man was pulled from a van engulfed in eight feet of water by rescue crews in Houston.๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

A jetskier up suffering life-threatening injuries after colliding head-on with a boat in a Florida river. The crash was caught on surveillance footage by nearby cameras and saw the man being run over by a pleasurecraft that was cruising along the Hillsborough River in Tampa. In the video, the jet ski rider, Lex Logan Sammons, 30, appeared to be at fault as he suddenly made a tight u-turn right into the path of a boat, which then plowed into him. The impact shattered his skull and knocked him unconscious. #losers
Hong Kong police fired tear gas to try to disperse democracy protesters earlier today - after pro-China groups pulled down the anti-government notes on some Lennon Walls in a Chinese-ruled city. Thousands of pro-democracy marchers gathered under the sweltering sun near the government offices of Tuen Mun, an outlying area in the west of the New Territories where some set fire to a Chinese flag. Earlier, dozens of Beijing supporters tore down large mosaics of colourful post-it notes that were denouncing the Chinese government for allegedly meddling in the former British colony. Reporters saw at least one person arrested after violence erupted following the afternoon march by several thousand people Hong Kong endures its fourth month of sometimes violent protests. They started with opposition to a proposed extradition law and have expanded to include demands for greater democracy. Most protesters in Tuen Mun were peaceful but some threw petrol bombs and bricks toward police who faced them down the street. #HK
