Law enforcement was pounded into submission while politicians pushed "defund the police" and other policies that don't work. While making cops out to be the bad guys, the real bad guys were stealing all the money. They changed use of force policies and disciplinary procedures.

CMS Administrator Dr Oz says the fraud taking place in California is WAY WORSE than Minnesota
He says they just started looking and have already found $3.5 BILLION IN FRAUD just in Los Angeles for hospice and home health care
βI'm here in Los Angeles, the US Attorney's Office. We're talking about fraud. This place has become one of the epicenters for fraud, waste, and abuse in America. $3.5 billion just here in Los Angeles County around hospice and home health care. Then you add in all the other things like they have in Minnesota, but in California scale, it's huge.
And what we have witnessed is a sevenfold increase in hospice in LA County. Sevenfold. That doesn't happen naturally. There are not seven times more deaths in LA County than there were five years ago. These frosters, and these do tend to be foreign influences, these are Russian Armenian gangs, mafia, that are leading a lot of these efforts, we believe, have been able to corrupt and work with doctors who are willing to lie, to use that MD degree as a degree, as a license to kill.
A lot of it's driven by foreigners who came to Los Angeles, very different culture, Russian Armenian groups, and this mafia seems to have taken over the system.
They've corrupted doctors, they've normalized fraud so that everyone sort of expects it. But the magnitude of it is so great that we have to take it on aggressively. It's a focus area for CMS and this administration and President Trump is not going to tolerate taxpayer dollars being stolen because people aren't paying attention anymore. We're focused on this.β

Colorado Springs police say a man is now facing charges for assaulting an officer after he tried to drive off during a traffic stop on Monday night and dragged two officers several feet, injuring them.
The Colorado Springs Police Department said at around 11 p.m. on Jan. 26, officers stopped a driver in the 500 block of North Murray Boulevard; during the traffic stop, police say the driver was removed from the vehicle for further investigation.
Officers say they then saw the rear passenger of the vehicle, identified as 32-year-old Anthony Lofton, move to the driver's seat. When they contacted him, Lofton attempted to drive off.
Two responding officers were briefly dragged several feet before they were able to subdue Lofton and stop the car, CSPD said.
Both officers were injured, though details on the extent of their injuries were not made public. Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for their recoveryππ»

WATCH: President Donald J. Trump speaks to reporters as he departs the White House
President Trump defends DHS Secretary Kristi Noem as Democrats call for her ouster following the fatal shootings involving federal agents in Minneapolis.
REPORTER: "Is Sec. Noem going to step down?"
POTUS: "No."
POTUS: "I think she's doing a very good job... the border is totally secure. You forget, we had a border that I inherited where millions of people were coming through. Now, we have a border where no one is coming through."
POTUS on the investigation into Alex Pretti's death:
"We're doing a big investigation. I want to see the investigation. I'm going to be watching over it. I want a very honorable and honest investigation β I have to see it myself."
POTUS: "I'm looking at that whole situation. I love everybody. I love all of our people. I love his family β and it's a very sad situation."
POTUS delivers remarks before departing for Iowa: I had a great conversation with the highly respected President of Syria... Tom Homan, as you know, is in Minnesota now. He's meeting with the governor, and he's meeting with the mayor later, and I hear that's all going well.

Clay County Sheriff's Office, Florida deputies were injured while responding to a call and being attacked by multiple dogs. One deputy sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and remains hospitalized.
"On January 22, 2026, at approximately 6:15 P.M., deputies were called to the 300-block of Foxtail Avenue in Middleburg for reports of a verbal disturbance and hearing gunshots. When deputies arrived in the area, they heard a woman yelling from inside a recreational vehicle on the property. Upon approaching the vehicle, deputies were met by the woman and three large breed dogs. Deputy Riley was attacked by one of the aggressive dogs, sustaining serious injuries. Fearing for his life and while attempting to escape further injury, Deputy Riley discharged his service weapon striking and killing the dog.
The woman, identified as Vichelle Rigney, charged at deputies while making verbal threats, preventing Deputy Riley from receiving medical aid. Deputies Megowan and Engelthaler took Rigney into custody while attempting to shield Deputy Riley from the remaining aggressive dogs. While arresting Rigney, Deputy Engelthaler and Rigney were both bitten by one of the aggressive dogs sustaining minor injuries. Deputy Engelthaler deployed his taser at the animal causing it to run from the immediate area. Vichelle Rigney was arrested for Resisting Law Enforcement Without Violence.
Deputy Riley was transported by Clay County Fire Rescue to a local hospital for treatment of significant injuries. He was admitted for further medical care. Deputy Engelthaler was treated at the hospital for minor injuries and was released. Rigney was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for a dog bite injury prior to being booked into the Clay County Jail.
Clay County Animal Services (CCAS) responded to the scene and collected the deceased dog for further testing. The remaining two dogs have been located and sheltered with family members who are cooperating with Clay County Animal Services.
This investigation remains active and we appreciate all the support from the community for our deputies."
