Michigan: More than 200 schools across Metro Detroit will be closed Thursday morning as snow and cold weather move through the region.

An estimated 4 to 5 inches of snow fell in many communities, creating hazardous travel conditions. Roads are expected to remain icy.

Closures include districts such as Detroit Public Schools Community District, Allen Park, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Eastpointe, Grosse Pointe, Harper Woods, Hazel Park, Livonia, Redford, Plymouth-Canton, Romulus, Royal Oak, Taylor, Warren, Wayne-Westland, Ypsilanti, Wyandotte, Woodhaven-Brownstown, and many more.

As another sanctioned ghost fleet tanker, Motor Tanker Veronica had previously passed through Venezuelan waters, and was operating in defiance of President Trump’s established quarantine of sanctioned vessels in the Caribbean.
