The Long Beach Police, California, opened its newly renovated police academy yesterday afternoon. That renovation cost about $33 Million and began back in 2023.

Some of the upgrades include new classrooms, locker rooms, a fitness center and conference rooms.

Nearly 100 new Long Beach police recruits will be welcomed to the new campus Monday morning, for what will be the start of the department’s largest ever academy class.

Phase 2 of the academy’s expansion will begin later this year.
