Stephanie Westby, 47, has been charged with murder after she fatally shot her husband Joseph Westby, 51, at their home in Camas, Washington on Sunday night. Westby faced court for the first time on Tuesday where her lawyers argued that she feared for her life when she shot her husband. Police said they interviewed the couple's two teenage children who allegedly told them that their parents had been having marital issues the started around May. They said their mother had asked them to leave the house prior to the shooting.

President Trump is carefully weighing a wide range of possible actions against Iran as retaliation for its alleged attack on Saudi oil facilities, it has been reported. National security officials have reportedly presented the president with a ‘menu’ of options that include military strikes and cyber attacks. But Trump is said to be leaning toward a ‘narrowly focused response’ that would not entail the United States being sucked into a prolonged military conflict with Iran, NBC News is reporting. One option being considered by the president and top officials in his administration include background support for a Saudi strike. This scenario would see the Americans provide intelligence, surveillance capabilities, and targeting information to Saudi forces - though no U.S. personnel would fire weapons at Iran.
Tense scenes erupted after a violent criminal was shot dead by police on a New York street with a crowd of people filmed hurling profanity-laden insults at officers and screaming for them to die. The police-involved shooting occurred on Tuesday morning in Staten Island when #NYPD officers were called to a home following reports of a domestic violence incident. Authorities say ex-con Gregory Edwards, 39, immediately became combative with the four officers who responded to the home. Police said they were forced to taser him in an attempt to arrest him but Edwards pulled out a gun and fired two rounds at the officers. The officers immediately fired back and fatally shot Edwards. A female officer was struck in the hand during the shootout.
The Navy says spectacular footage released in 2017 that appears to show 'unexplained aerial phenomena' is authentic, but that the footage was never meant to be made public. The clips were first published by The New York Times in December of that year and were recorded by Department of Defense officials on two separate occasions. One clip was recorded near San Diego, California back in 2004, while a second video was captured off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida in 2015.
