UPDATE: A box full of abandoned NYPD uniforms was discovered on 37th Street and 9th Avenue by a Boropark24 reporter, after Zohran Mamdani sworn-in as the 112th Mayor of New York City.

The box was found opened, with uniforms spilling out onto the street. Shomrim and NYPD were called. Officers responded and confirmed the clothing was authentic and belonged to a member with many years on the job, based on the different department uniforms found inside.

It’s "unknown" why the uniforms were dumped in this manner or who left them there.

Positive update given on MDSO deputy injured after being hit by car.

A Miami-Dade deputy who was seriously injured when he was struck by an SUV is showing major signs of improvement.

Deputy Leonard Cantave was helping a State Trooper investigate a crash along the Florida Turnpike in Doral when the driver of an SUV stuck him, launching Cantave into the air.
According to an arrest report, the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Lonnel Brinson Jr., admitted to using marijuana and alcohol before the crash.
On Thursday, MDSO provided a positive update on Cantave, saying that he is breathing on his own, awake, and alert.

NEW: Two deputies injured, patrol cars damaged following chase in north Harris County, Texas.

The Precinct 4 Constable's Office said the incident started on Kenswick Drive in Humble, just north of FM 1960.

A driver initially struck a Constable patrol vehicle on Kenswick and drove off. Authorities went after the suspect and a chase ensued. 
Two constable deputies were reportedly struck during the chase before the suspect crashed into a second patrol car.

The suspect was taken into custody. Officials say the suspect showed signs of intoxication.

Medics were called to check on the two injured deputies. One of them was taken to a hospital for further evaluation.

BREAKING: In Columbus, Ohio More than 40 daycare centers operating across the city have now been linked to the same defunct shell organization, the Somali Education & Resource Center!!

These facilities did not open gradually.

They did not follow a normal expansion timeline.

They all opened on the exact same day.

That fact alone should stop everyone in their tracks.

According to available records, these daycare centers immediately began operations at scale and, collectively, generated roughly $14 million in revenue in 2024 alone.

That is not organic growth.

That is not coincidence.

That is coordination.

A single, now defunct organization appears to have been used as the common legal backbone to rapidly stand up dozens of childcare facilities all at once, creating a web of businesses that on paper look independent but in reality share the same origin point, the same paperwork, and the same launch date.

Parents deserve to know who is actually operating the facilities caring for their children.

Taxpayers deserve to know how millions of dollars were funneled through a structure tied to an organization that no longer legally exists.

And regulators need to explain how over 40 centers were licensed, approved, and activated simultaneously without anyone raising serious red flags.

This is not about attacking childcare.

This is not about attacking immigrants.

This is about transparency, accountability, and basic safeguards that are supposed to protect families and public funds.

Daycare licensing exists for a reason.

Nonprofit oversight exists for a reason.

Shell organizations that dissolve while their offshoots continue pulling in millions should immediately trigger audits, not silence.

If one or two centers had irregular paperwork, that would be a problem.

Forty opening on the same day under the same defunct umbrella is something else entirely.

Columbus families deserve answers.

Ohio taxpayers deserve answers.

And the state should not wait until even more money changes hands before demanding them.

Hundreds of manatees congregated at Three Sisters Springs, a wildlife refuge in Crystal River, Florida, on December 31st, where the waters “remain at a constant 72 degrees year-round,” according to the Southwest Florida Water Management District. The agency recently restored the shoreline around Three Sisters Springs, which it said “will help prevent future erosion,” improve water quality, and make the area safer for visitors. The marine mammals spend each winter in the balmy spot, then return to the Gulf around April.
