In other news: Three driverless Waymos were locked in a "standoff" on a San Francisco residential street Saturday, frustrating human drivers who were subsequently blocked in on a dead-end road. Two of the autonomous vehicles appeared to have made contact, while a third approaching from the opposite direction froze upon sensing them, unable to navigate around each other and trapping other drivers for several minutes.

'Hard not to like him': Granite City police hoping for full recovery of injured officer.
In a Monday news conference, Chief Brooks identified the officer as 27-year-old Tyler Timmons, who has been with the department for four years. He continues to improve and is expected to make a full recovery, Brooks said.
"He's a great guy. It's very hard not to like him. I don't know anybody who doesn't like him. He's a man of many talents. We all love him here, and we wish him the best and want to see him make a full recovery, which we're very hopeful for," the police chief said.
In a forceful statement, Chief Brooks made it clear how his department will respond to any attack on an officer.
"To anyone who thinks that they're going to come to Granite City to do violence to one of our officers, I have this to say. You will be identified. You will be hunted. You will be located, and you will be brought to justice," he said.

Most people today have never hunted, never fished, never provided for themselves the way their great-grandparents did. This six-part series follows the men who are keeping those traditions alive.
From the mountains of Texas with a former Navy SEAL, to the ridges of Lanai with Donald Trump Jr., to the quiet woods of Maine, we meet the sportsmen who still practice this fading art. In every place, you see the same thing: respect for the animal, the land, and the God who made both.
