Wisconsin: A Wauwatosa police officer and a civilian were injured in a crash Sunday evening, Dec. 7.
Officials said the crash happened near N. 121st Street and W. Blue Mound Road. The incident happened during the investigation of an earlier crash at the same location.
Both the officer and the civilian were taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries. Their conditions have not been released.

Looking back at the videos and photos, I can’t believe how much we accomplished in under two hours. Amazing things happen when a community comes together.

“The Union questions the timing of this announcement, which comes amid active investigations by the House Oversight Committee and the Department of Justice into allegations of manipulation of crime statistics and mismanagement within the MPD.
These inquiries demand transparency and accountability, and we urge full cooperation to ensure the integrity of our department is upheld.
The Union calls for a comprehensive and deliberate search for the next permanent Chief of Police, in close collaboration with Mayor Bowser and her team,” the press release reads.
Chief Smith became the Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department back in 2023 and was able to establish the Real-Time Crime Center, a major technological improvement assisting officers on patrol in real-time.
“I as the chief of police never, would ever say to anyone to alter stats,” Smith said today.
Earlier this year, Chief Smith faced pressure from President Trump’s administration after a federal takeover of her police department and the deployment of federal law enforcement and the National Guard.
“There comes a time when you just know it’s time,” Smith told Axios.
Next up in DC Police’s current Chain of Command: Executive Assistant Chief Jeffery Carroll.
Carroll previously served as the Assistant Chief of Internal Affairs and has been with the DC Police Department since 2002.

In the letter, the director says crimes committed by those in custody include:
51 homicides, 1,134 assaults, 107 burglaries, 36 robberies, 275 dangerous drugs offenses, 120 weapons offenses, and 813 sexual predatory offenses.
Lyons says that Illinois has released more than 1,700 criminal illegal immigrants back into the community after spending time in prison instead of alerting ICE.
The director requesting a response saying, “Please confirm whether the State of Illinois plans to honor detainers on these aliens or whether each of these barbarians will someday walk the streets of Illinois again.”
