Zapata pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges. He was ordered to remain jailed in lieu of just over $4 million bail while awaiting his next court appearance Feb. 23.

Connecticut: A Bristol police officer was injured in extracting a passenger from their vehicle after it struck and downed a utility pole Thursday morning, according to Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu. The accident closed a portion of Washington Street while the utility pole was being replaced.

Zoppo-Sassu added as of early Thursday morning, there does not appear to be life-threatening injuries as a result of this accident.

LOAD OF TROUBLE: A dump truck’s dashcam captured the moment a Tesla veered into oncoming traffic in Arizona, triggering a chain-reaction crash that sent the truck careening into another vehicle before it slammed into a wall.

The drivers of both the Tesla and the dump truck were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Earlier this evening, Joe Zander Abrahamson, 23, was sentenced to 22 years in federal prison and a lifetime of supervised release by the Honorable U.S. District Judge Hernán D. Vera. In September 2024, Abrahamson traveled from Seattle to Los Angeles where he raped a 15-year-old girl in a Santa Clarita hotel and filmed the assault. Earlier this year, Abrahamson pled guilty to a two-count information charging him with the attempted enticement of a minor and possession of child pornography.

UPDATE: Boston Police announcing Antonio Moran was taken into custody at his home in Connecticut this morning charged with torching a cruiser in the South End 8 weeks ago.

As a result of a painstaking investigation led by members of the Boston Police Department including the Auto Theft Unit, Detectives from District 4 and the Boston Police Fire Investigation Unit, early this morning, Police arrested David Antonio Moran, DOB 5/25/2006 – who is also known as David Moran-Chavez – in Norwalk Connecticut, where he resides.

Detectives obtained a warrant for Moran-Chavez for Burning of a Motor Vehicle, Unlawful Possession of Fireworks, Disturbing the Peace and Conspiracy, in connection with the street takeover which occurred on October 5, 2025 in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Tremont Street in Lower Roxbury/ South End at approximately 2:30am.

Boston Police officers and detectives methodically identified and followed evidence related to this street takeover.
