BREAKING OVERNIGHT: Two people are dead, and several others are reportedly hurt after a fight outside a Dallas nightclub led to a shooting. Dallas Police say a police officer killed an armed person involved in the shooting.

No officers were hurt in the shooting.

BREAKING: Today, TheJusticeDept took decisive action to protect the Second Amendment by filing a brief in the Supreme Court challenging a Hawaii state law that effectively bans public carry.  As our brief states, “Hawaii’s law plainly violates the Second Amendment.”

It’s not just Hawaii that is effectively banning public carry.  California, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York have similar laws.  So a win in this case will restore Second Amendment rights for millions of Americans.

That is why, more than six months ago, my Justice Department took the unprecedented step of filing a brief in this Second Amendment case urging the Supreme Court to accept it for review.

As I said soon after taking office, the Second Amendment is not a second-class right.  My Justice Department will continue to be the most pro-Second Amendment Justice Department in history.

This week, former FBI Director Comey's legal team took their best shot at getting his criminal indictment dismissed.

The evidence released Kash Patel includes FBI 'burn bags' containing sensitive records about the Trump probes.  The evidence is credible and could prove hard to overcome if Comey's case goes to trial.

I spoke with six former FBI special agents.  Between them, they have more than 9 decades of law enforcement experience.

They said the FBI Trump probes were not done “By The Book.”
