BREAKING: Three people were shot during a robbery at a Jewel-Osco grocery store on Chicago's South Side.

The shooting happened around 10:50 a.m. Tuesday on the 400 block of East 34th Street in the Lake Meadows neighborhood.

According to preliminary information from police, two offenders entered the grocery store and stole merchandise. While attempting to exit the store, a 46-year-old man intervened and the offenders fired shots — striking him and two other victims who were nearby.

The conditions of the victims have not yet been released. No one is in custody and Area Detectives are investigating. 

The investigation took a turn when findings revealed that the tip pointed to an officer who was not involved in the alleged conduct. However, investigators later identified Kussmaul as potentially connected to the behavior described in the anonymous tip.

Tomorrow, Nov. 12, the community is invited to a dedication honoring the memory and service of Officer Julian Becerra, who was fatally injured in the line of duty in February 2023.

Officer Becerra joined the Fountain Police Department in 2018 and served with distinction until his passing in 2023 after falling off an overpass during an attempted arrest.

I’m tired of “based” social media videos and big talk from the admin with zero follow through.

We voted for home affordability and we were given 50 year mortgages and debt slavery.

We have a sitting U.S. congresswoman who openly declares her loyalty to SOMALIA and the best we can do is joke about deporting her

ANTIFA was linked to the assassination of Charlie Kirk and after labeling them a “domestic terrorist organization” there has been zero follow through and they’re more emboldened than ever.

People are being arrested for “anti-semitic” attacks meanwhile it’s Christian children who are being targeted and killed in the middle of mass and it’s mobs of violent leftists who continue to scream “kill white people” with ZERO repercussion.

American students are drowning in debt and the admin has responded by making them compete with 600,000 Chinese students. Oh and if you’re lucky enough to get a degree, you’re still going to have to compete with a Republican promoted H-1B visa hire that will work for half your pay.

And don’t get me started on the DOJ’s priorities or lack thereof.

This is why the right wing is divided.

Because Americans voted to feel safe, prioritized and protected and every time we try to voice our concerns we are labeled as anti-MAGA, anti-Israel or anti-Trump for bringing forth substantial criticism of the direction of the party.

I’ve watched the right wing implode over the last two weeks and the reason we are is because many are afraid to legitimately criticize the admin.

It’s our job to openly put the pressure on when we don’t feel the country is headed in the right direction. If we refuse to do so, we’re no better than the entire left who refused to criticize Biden for his entire administration.

Ongoing OIS investigation in the area of Kalmia/103rd Street.  More info will be posted on this thread as it becomes available: Kalmia St  closed from 103rd to 105th for this incident.

This is preliminary information: At around noon, Southeast Division officers responded to a radio call of an Assault with a Deadly Weapon suspect in the area of Kalmia and 103rd Street.

Multiple callers reported that the suspect , described as a male adult, was armed with a metal chain and swinging it at passing vehicles and passerby’s.

As ofcrs arrived to area of the call, they encountered the armed suspect on Kalmia Street.

Ofcrs gave the suspect commands to surrender which he ignored. Ofcrs also used 40mm less lethal rounds which had no effect.

The suspect continued to advance on the officers and an officer involved shooting occurred.

The suspect was struck by gunfire and taken into custody. Fire Dept. paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased. No officers or bystanders were injured during this incident. The suspect’s weapon was at scene and will be booked as evidence.
