Georgia: A Bulloch County Sheriffβs Office deputy sustained minor injuries on November 8 after a vehicle failed to move over during a traffic stop on the Statesboro Bypass near Northside Drive.
According to the Sheriffβs Office, the deputy was standing between his patrol vehicleβs driver-side door and a person he had just placed under arrest when a passing car struck the rear door. The impact forced the door into the deputy, knocking him off balance. Fortunately, he was able to walk away with only minor injuries β but officials emphasized that the outcome could have been far worse.

HOUSE FIRE WITH FATALITY AND SUBSEQUENT VEHICLE ACCIDENT INVOLVING A MCSO DETECTIVE
The Monroe County Sheriffβs Office responded to a residential fire at 435 Crowder Road in Madisonville earlier today, along with multiple fire departments and law enforcement agencies. The call came in around 4:00 p.m.
After the fire was extinguished, responders discovered that one adult male had perished in the incident. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) State Bomb and Arson Division is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
As units were clearing the scene, a Monroe County Sheriffβs Office detective was involved in a two-vehicle accident on US-411. The detective was transported to UT Medical Center for evaluation. The condition of the other individual involved in the crash is currently unknown. The Madisonville Police Department is investigating the accident.
Our thoughts are with our detective and the other person involved in the crash, and we are praying for their recovery. We also extend our deepest condolences to the family of the individual who lost their life in todayβs fire.

An owl is recovering at a Portland-area veterinary hospital after a deputy rescued it last week while on patrol in Clark County, WA.
Someone called the Clark County Sheriffβs Office after seeing the barred owl standing motionless in the road.
Deputy James responded, rescuing the bird from the roadway and taking it to the vet hospital across the Columbia River.π¦

Texas: A state trooper was injured and multiple people were detained after the driver of a stolen vehicle led authorities on a multi-county chase from McMullen County to San Antonioβs South Side.
The pursuit began Monday afternoon when McMullen County deputies spotted a vehicle reported stolen out of Bexar County, according to a law enforcement source.
Authorities said the driver sped north on Highway 16, leading officers through Atascosa and Bexar counties before the chase ended near Kingsride Boulevard and Applewhite Road, just south of Loop 410.
Multiple spike strips were deployed to stop the vehicle, and one of them caused the car to crash into other vehicles, according to the source.
