Winter storm warning from Chicago to Southwest Michigan go in place this evening as lake effect snow showers are expected. Heavy snow with snow fall rates in excess of 3 inches per hour and storm totals of 18 inches are possible.

The Fire Department of the City of New York Commissioner Robert S. Tucker announced the line of duty death of Firefighter Patrick Brady. The 42-year-old served our great Department for 11 years. 

On Saturday, November 8th, Firefighter Brady was operating on the roof of a fire at 9407 Kings Highway in Brooklyn when he went into cardiac arrest. FDNY Firefighters and EMS quickly moved to treat Brady. He was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center where he passed away. 

Firefighter Brady was appointed to the FDNY on July 14, 2014. After graduating from the Fire Academy, he was assigned to Engine 227 in Brooklyn, before transferring to Ladder 120 in 2022. 
 
Firefighter Brady is the 1,163rd member of the FDNY to die in the line-of-duty.

I am sorry that the American People are being terrorized by Democrats who have decided to shut the Government down to make me and other Republicans continue ObamaCare subsidies, which have been a windfall for Health Insurance Companies, and a DISASTER for the American People. The largest Health Insurance Companies have seen their Stock Prices soar (Some over 1000%!) since the passage of ObamaCare. Meanwhile, Americans’ Premiums have more than DOUBLED, contrary to President Obama’s promise. I believe that the money should go directly to THE PEOPLE to purchase better Healthcare, and create competition. This enrichment of Health Insurance companies must stop. It is long past time to lower Premiums, not enrich Insurance Companies. I stand ready to work with both Parties to solve this problem once the Government is open. Stop terrorizing the American People. Stop pushing failed policies!

A man remains hospitalized in critical condition after a shooting broke out near a taco truck in Oxnard.

At least five people were injured Saturday night after a fight led to a shooting near Ocean Beach in San Francisco's Outer Richmond, according to police.

Updated statement on incident that took place last night:

On 11/8/2025 at approximately 8:53 p.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to the area of Fulton street and Great Highway regarding a shooting.

Officers arrived on scene and located multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds and rendered aid.  Paramedics responded to the scene and transported 4 juvenile victims and 1 adult male victim to a local hospital for their non-life threatening injuries.

This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no general threat to the public. SFPD investigators are working diligently on this active and open investigation.

No arrests have been made at this time.
