BREAKING - Odessa mass shooting death toll rises to SEVEN as high schooler, 15, and postal worker are first victims identified: Two people shot by white gunman die in hospital while the 19 injured - including a toddler and a cop - fight for their lives. Odessa police spokesman Steve LeSueur announced on Sunday that two additional victims had died in the hospital and at least one of the 19 others injured remains in 'life-threatening' condition. Authorities have not identified any of the victims, but several have been named publicly by family members. Among those killed was 15-year-old high school student Leila Hernandez, whose loved ones described her as a 'sweet girl with a big heart' who recently celebrated her quinceañera. Seventeen-month-old Anderson Davis is also in the hospital, having been struck in the face and chest by shrapnel.

Hurricane Dorian strengthens to CATEGORY 5 with winds of 180 MPH and shifts back towards Florida: Millions in the Sunshine State, Georgia and the Carolinas brace for 'catastrophic' storm that is the strongest ever to hit the Bahamas. The storm now boasts dangerous wind gusts of over 200 mph as it moved over the Bahamas creating 'catastrophic conditions' in the Abacos islands, as an official hurricane watch and evacuations were issued for the east coast of Florida. Dorian hit the Bahamian islands Sunday morning and the eyewall of the catastrophic storm slammed the Abaco Islands with devastating winds first, according to the NHC. After parking over the Bahamas, the storm will aim north towards south Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas - where states of emergencies are in effect. According to forecast models, Dorian will make a turn to the north and make landfall in the U.S. as early as Tuesday afternoon. 🌪💦😱

Today's protests follow another night of violence in Hong Kong and city sanitation workers were seen clearing debris and removing graffiti this morning. Hours before a huge fire burned for over an hour in the city's commercial district as chaos rippled through the centre of a city usually renowned for its stability and prosperity. 'I'm really, really tired. I think many Hong Kong people had a sleepless night yesterday,' said 18-year-old student protester called May. 'I almost couldn't manage to get up, but I'm determined to go today.' #HK

The Alaska Earthquake Center reports that a magnitude 5.0 earthquake hit southern Alaska. It was felt by people in the state's capital. Juneau. The center says the earthquake hit at 8:32 p.m. Saturday and had an epicenter 43 miles west of Klukwan, a village of about 95 people. The earthquake had a depth of less than a mile. Several Juneau residents reported on social media that they felt the quake. One person tweeted: "Juneau just had an earthquake... I actually felt it. My bed was literally moving." There were no reports of significant damage. The last big earthquake to hit Alaska took place on Nov. 30, when a magnitude 7.1 earthquake struck near Anchorage. Alaska's massive 1964 earthquake had a magnitude 9.2. 😱
