With the Thanksgiving holiday approaching, we are nearing the busiest travel period of the entire year, when millions of Americans will use airports to travel to see their loved ones.

Let us be very clear from the White House: if the Democrats continue to keep the government closed up until Thanksgiving, we fear there will be significant flight delays, disruptions, and cancellations in major airports across the country.

It does not have to be this way – if Democrats would just vote to REOPEN the government and end their reckless shutdown.

Earlier this morning, LASD Personnel Administration Bureau hosted a Halloween themed “Pups-n-Cups” party where therapy dogs were able to show off their costumes and engage with department members. The Sheriff’s Department recognizes the importance of therapy dogs and the love, support, and comfort they provide for personnel and members of the public who may have experienced a recent trauma. Today these dogs brought plenty of smiles and a moment to relieve stress from daily duties.

A celebration of life was held Wednesday as the local community continues to mourn the loss of Ohio State Highway trooper Nicholas Cayton, who was killed in a crash.

Newly released bodycam footage shows the dramatic moments when four Kentuckians stepped in to save the life of a Kentucky State Police trooper after he was shot near Blue Grass Airport.

The video, released this week by KSP, captures the July incident in which Trooper Jude Remilien was shot by Guy House during a traffic stop on Terminal Drive. The shooting was connected to a later tragedy at a Lexington church on Richmond Road, where two people were killed and two others injured.

According to officials, the four bystanders rushed to help Trooper Remilien immediately after he went down, applying pressure to his wounds and staying with him until backup and EMS arrived. Their quick actions are now being credited with saving his life.
