NEW: Three ICE officers were injured yesterday in San Diego after a violent criminal alien from Kuwait tried to escape arrest by ramming law enforcement vehicles. He narrowly missed an innocent bystander before crashing into government cars.

With the Thanksgiving holiday approaching, we are nearing the busiest travel period of the entire year, when millions of Americans will use airports to travel to see their loved ones.

Let us be very clear from the White House: if the Democrats continue to keep the government closed up until Thanksgiving, we fear there will be significant flight delays, disruptions, and cancellations in major airports across the country.

It does not have to be this way – if Democrats would just vote to REOPEN the government and end their reckless shutdown.

Earlier this morning, LASD Personnel Administration Bureau hosted a Halloween themed “Pups-n-Cups” party where therapy dogs were able to show off their costumes and engage with department members. The Sheriff’s Department recognizes the importance of therapy dogs and the love, support, and comfort they provide for personnel and members of the public who may have experienced a recent trauma. Today these dogs brought plenty of smiles and a moment to relieve stress from daily duties.

Thousands of mourners paid their respects to state Trooper Nicholas "Nicky" Cayton and his family at an Oct. 22 memorial service.

A celebration of life was held Wednesday as the local community continues to mourn the loss of Ohio State Highway trooper Nicholas Cayton, who was killed in a crash.
