Prayers for the Raleigh Police Officer who was injured in the line of duty overnight.🙏🏻

North Carolina: An officer was injured after an SUV crashed into the back of a Raleigh Police Department cruiser on Interstate 440 near Glenwood Avenue late Sunday night.

Raleigh police said the officer was headed to a reported crash where a car hit a parked car on the side of the road. While responding to the initial crash, the SUV rear ended the Raleigh police officer's cruiser on I-440 East near Glenwood Avenue.

Both the officer and the driver of the SUV were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The officer has since been released, and the driver is still receiving treatment, police said at 8 a.m.

The driver, identified as Jacques Gashumba, 57, was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to reduce speed, failure to stop for a siren and having an open container.

It is with profound sadness that Spartanburg Police Department, South Carolina, share that MPO Javan King, Jr., (Retiree) passed earlier this morning.

Javan began his service with the City of Spartanburg as a Public Safety Officer in November of 1984 and retired in August of 2024.

Today at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, an individual with an AR-15 was arrested after threatening to “shoot up” the airport.

DHS is in communication with our interagency partners and will share more information as soon as it becomes available.

I am thankful this individual was taken into custody by law enforcement before harming anyone.

The U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled that POTUS is rightfully using his Constitutional authority to direct the National Guard to protect federal assets, personnel and public safety in Portland, Oregon.

The law, U.S. Constitution, and supremacy clause back the President’s action to protect the public and law enforcement, and today this ruling has vindicated us.

Six reasons why California is currently a mess:

A Santa Barbara Police Officer was injured after being hit by a vehicle during an investigation of a stolen vehicle on the Westside Saturday.

At approximately 6:54 p.m. on October 18, 2025, Santa Barbara Police officers were patrolling the 1100 block of Mercedes Lane when they saw possible stolen vehicle in a shared parking lot. 

The officers approached the vehicle on foot and contacted the sole occupant, who was seated in the driver’s seat. He was identified as 24-year-old Kevin Benitez-Carbajal.

Immediately upon contact, the driver attempted to elude capture by reversing the vehicle out of the parking stall.  An officer was struck by the backing vehicle, causing minor injuries.
