COP KILLER SENTENCED TO DEATH:
A jury has sentenced the man who murdered City of North Kansas City Police Department, Missouri Officer Daniel Vasquez to death by execution following his capital murder trial.
The P.O.S. Killer, convicted of first-degree murder, was found guilty last week, moving the case into the sentencing phase. On Wednesday morning, after about 24 hours of deliberation, the jury from St. Charles County, Missouri unanimously voted for the death penalty. This marks the first time since 1994 that Clay County prosecutors have sought the death penalty. Dash cam footage shown in court revealed the moment the 28-year-old opened fire on Officer Vasquez during a July 19, 2022 traffic stop for expired tags, firing three times with a rifle after two misfires. Vasquez was left in the road as the suspect fled the scene.
Rest Easy Brother Officer. Prayers for his family of blue and blood. π

DEVELOPING: Southern California is about to see its most significant October storm in over 10 years.
A squall line (QLCS) could develop Tuesday, bringing 0.5β1"+/hr rainfall rates and potentially significant flash flooding over the Eaton and Palisades burn scars.
Rainfall totals of 0.75β2 inches are expected across Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles counties, with 1.5β4 inches possible in the foothills and mountains.
Isolated tornadoes and severe thunderstorms will also be possible on Tuesday across Los Angeles and Orange counties.
A persistent marine heatwave, with ocean temperatures near 70Β°F off the coast, could further enhance instability and rain rates.
Flash Flood Watches are in effect for recent burn scars across Southern California and the Central Coast, and Flood Watches extend through MondayβTuesday for lower-elevation foothills below the snow line in the Central and Southern Sierra Nevada.
Colin McCarthy
Ahead of tomorrowβs storm: California has pre-positioned resources β including dozers, hand crews, rescue swimmers, and helicopters β in Ventura, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino counties to respond to potential debris flows and mudslides.
Governor Gavin Newsom

πΊπΈ HONORING A HERO πΊπΈ
During our Open House at Station 24 this past Saturday, we had the privilege of meeting Patsy Anthony DePalma, Seaman First Class, U.S. Navy (Ret.) β a true American hero.
Born in 1927 in New Jersey to Italian immigrants who came through Ellis Island, Mr. DePalma enlisted in the Navy at 18. He was preparing for the invasion of Japan when the war ended and instead served in the American Occupation, even riding through the devastated city of Hiroshima.
After the war, he worked in the oil industry, rising to general manager of a petroleum storage site. He retired in 1985 and moved to Mission Viejo, where he still lives today in Casta del Sol.
It was an honor to welcome Mr. DePalma to our station. His life is a testament to service, resilience, and the strength of our community.

βHereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth."
