A Grove City police officer is out of the hospital after being shot while responding to reports of an armed man barricaded inside a home Wednesday night.
Ohio: Police were called to a home on Louise Court just after 5 p.m. on Wednesday for reports of a burglary. The homeowner told officers that a man was inside a vacant property—armed with a loaded gun—and refusing to leave.
Neighbor Nancy Carpenter said she first noticed the man behaving suspiciously the day before.
Grove City Police say the suspect began shooting at officers before they returned fire. One officer was struck by the suspect’s bullets.
The officer has since been released from the hospital, according to Fraternal Order of Police President Brian Steel.

Texas: Johnson County Sheriff’s Deputy was injured in a fiery high-speed chase that tore through Johnson and Tarrant Counties.
The suspect, Christopher Roth, was captured and now faces multiple felony charges, including Evading Arrest Causing Serious Bodily Injury.
