BREAKING: FBI & ATF are offering a $50,000 reward for information after assaults on federal officers tied to the “Midway Blitz” immigration enforcement push in Chicago.

The Chicago Divisions of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) announced the reward on Monday, afternoon, urging the public to come forward with tips, photographs, or video footage of the October 4 incidents in Brighton Park.

We pray for the Nassau County Police Department motorcycle officer who was seriously injured earlier today in a collision with an SUV. 🙏🏻

New York: An on-duty Nassau County Highway Patrol officer was seriously injured in a crash in Lindenhurst on Monday, Suffolk police said.

The crash, which involved another motor vehicle, occurred at the intersection of North Wellwood Ave. and Jerome St., officials said.

Tommy Shevlin, president of the Nassau Police Benevolent Association, said the officer was escorting a funeral procession when the crash occurred. 

The officer, who was not identified by authorities, was transported to a hospital. He is in serious but stable condition, a Nassau police spokeswoman said. 

"He remains in surgery and has a long road to recovery ahead of him," Shevlin said.

LAPD News: An officer-involved shooting (OIS) has occurred in the area of 5th Street and Los Angeles Street in downtown Los Angeles.

The following information is preliminary, as this investigation is still in its early stages.

Today, at about 3:30 p.m., a unit assigned Central Division was driving in the area of 5th Avenue and Main Street when they observed a shooting in progress.

The suspect then fled on foot, prompting  the unit to request help as well as chase after the suspect on foot.  The foot pursuit proceeded northbound on Main Street and then at Spring and 4th Street the officers observed the suspect armed with a handgun and an officer-involved shooting occurred.

The suspect, described as an adult male, was not struck by gunfire, but was hit with less-lethal kinetic projectiles. He was taken into custody and LAFD paramedic rendered aid, then transported him to a local hospital, where he is being treated for injuries related to the less-lethal munitions and listed in stable condition.

Help Pennsylvania authorities find this monster and get him off the streets.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the sheriff’s deputies involved in the tragic shooting at the Iberville Parish Courthouse.🙏🏻

Louisiana: A suspect is dead and one of the two deputies injured has now died after a shooting at the Iberville Parish Courthouse around 7:50 p.m. Monday.

According to sources, the gunfire erupted as deputies were interrogating a man from White Castle at the courthouse. The suspect reportedly grabbed a deputy’s gun and fired multiple shots, hitting two Iberville Parish Sheriff’s deputies before being shot and killed. One of the injured deputies is Sheriff Brett Stassi’s son.

One deputy was shot in the abdomen & taken by private vehicle to Ochsner Iberville. He’s being airlifted to Baton Rouge in critical condition. The other deputy was hit in the side.

DEVELOPING: A fire broke out at the Dow chemical plant in Freeport, Texas Monday night.

The facility is located on Brazosport Boulevard near the Nolan Ryan Expressway. Residents nearby reported hearing an explosion.

According to Dow Texas Operations, the fire broke out at Plant B. In an update, officials said the fire was contained within the facility block and all employees were accounted for. They didn't say if there were any injuries.

The company said that at this time, there is nothing required of the community. First responders are on scene.

According to Dow's website, Dow’s Texas Operations facility is the company’s largest integrated site, covering about 7,000 acres. The plant produces nearly half of Dow’s U.S. products and roughly one-fifth of its products sold worldwide.
