Paisley Cameron Girvin was born on August 19, 2025, carrying the name and legacy of her father, Officer Cameron Girvin, who gave his life serving with the Virginia Beach Police Department just six months earlier.

Cameron’s courage, dedication, and heart left a mark on his family, fellow officers, and the community. Though he is gone, his love and sacrifice live on through Paisley and every life he touched.

May his story remind us all that heroes never truly leave us.

The bond between a handler and their K9 is deeper than words… Sissy was not just a partner in service, she was family.

Officer Jewell is being transferred to Jacksonville for specialized care, and the road ahead will be long.

Officer Jewell is no stranger to heroism.

He’s faced armed suspects under fire to save fellow officers, and alongside Sissy, tracked a murder suspect through a swamp to bring him safely into custody.

His courage has always gone above and beyond.

Virginia: Two Portsmouth police officers have returned home from the hospital and are recovering after a domestic violence call turned into arson.

According to Portsmouth Police, officers received a 911 call for help because of a domestic dispute on Caroline Avenue on Sunday afternoon. When they arrived, the officers said they began talking to a woman to start their investigation.

However, they smelled gas and smoke, “leading them to discover an adult male setting the house on fire,” the press release from Portsmouth police stated.

The officers attempted to rescue the man from the fire, and he resisted and fought them, police said. Both officers sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital.
