NEW: A federal grand jury has indicted three women accused of following an ICE agent home and posting his address on social media, the DOJ said.

Wisconsin: A Madison police officer is now in stable condition after they were involved in a serious squad crash. 

The crash happened around 2p.m. near McFarland on the 1200 Block of East Broadway. The officer was assisting an outside agency. 

According to Madison Police Department, the officer involved has serious injuries but is in stable condition. The officer and their family are requesting privacy at this time.

An investigation is underway into what appears to be some sort of explosive device found last night near the ICE Chicago detention facility.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Force Investigation Division is investigating a Foothill Division Officer-Involved Shooting that occurred in Mission Division.

On August 14, 2025, at approximately 5:15 p.m., Mission Patrol Division uniformed officers responded to a radio call of an Assault with a Deadly Weapon suspect armed with a firearm, in the area of Arleta Avenue and Branford Street. Multiple callers reported that the suspect, later identified as 48-year-old Lorenzo Sandoval, was walking along Arleta Avenue, pointing a gun at passing vehicles. Officers located Sandoval, walking south on the west sidewalk of Arleta Avenue, armed with a firearm in his right hand. The officers issued commands for Sandoval to drop the weapon, which he ignored and continued to walk away.

Officers notified Communications Division of their location and that Sandoval was armed, prompting the generation of a “Help Call.” Multiple units from bordering divisions responded and assisted in monitoring the armed suspect. Suddenly, Sandoval turned and faced the officers while armed, resulting in an Officer-Involved Shooting. Sandoval was struck by gunfire, fell to the ground, and was taken into custody. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound and cleared for booking. Sandoval was booked for 69 Penal Code, Resisting an Executive Officer by Threats or Violence.

No officers or community members were injured during the incident. A replica handgun was recovered at the scene and booked as evidence.

We are aware of the incident at the church of Latter Day Saints on McCandlish Rd in Grand Blanc. According to the Grand Blanc Township Police Department, there is no active threat to the public at this time. Please avoid the area as first responders are handling this situation.

I am receiving briefings about what appears to be a horrific shooting and fire at an LDS church in Grand Blanc, Michigan. FBI and ATF agents are en route to the scene now.

Such violence at a place of worship is heartbreaking and chilling. Please join me in praying for the victims of this terrible tragedy.
