Plot twist: One of the victims disarmed the gunman and returned fire.

Michigan: Officials called off Detroit’s Cass Tech vs. King High School football game Friday night at Wayne State’s Adams Field after the stadium became too crowded and brawls broke out.

Cass Tech was leading 20-0 in the third quarter when fans spilled past seating areas. Several brawls then broke out.

Authorities eventually called the game to keep everyone safe.

The game will resume Saturday at 2 p.m. without fans.

The phenomenon, known as a gigantic jet, is a Transient Luminous Event (TLE) and looks like upside-down red lightning.

It was an honor to attend City of Hope’s annual Fight for Life boxing fundraiser event last night. Members of local law enforcement agencies and our very own LASD Boxing Team participated in this annual benefit event, consisting of 11 boxing matches of different weight classes.

A special thank you to Freddie Roach and his dedication to the Youth Boxing Academy, our own Commander Oscar Barragan who made his vision of the boxing academy a reality, and to Richard Barrantes & Sugar Ray Leonard for their endless support!

Congratulations to all who fought and came to cheer on participants for this courageous effort to raise awareness and support for City of Hope! We will see you next year!
