Florida: A Pembroke Pines police patrol car was involved in a crash Thursday morning with two other vehicles.

According to Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue, the crash occurred at Southwest 96th Avenue and Pines Boulevard.
First responders said there was moderate damage to all three vehicles.

One person was evaluated at the scene and declined to be transported to the hospital, while the officer was transported to Memorial Hospital West with a minor injury, PPFR said.

Detective Isaiah Emenheiser, from the Northern York County Regional Police Department, Pa. along with Detective Sergeant Cody Becker, and Detective Mark Baker, were tragically killed while serving an arrest warrant in North Codorus Township.

The Lower Sugarloaf Fire picked up in activity yesterday and continued through today on the Northwest and Southeast flanks. Northwest CIMT 2 assumed command of this and the Labor Mountain Fire this morning at 7AM.

The Lower Sugarloaf Fire, northeast of Leavenworth, Washington is now 20,100 acres with 20% containment, and the Labor Mountain Fire North of Cle Elum is 5,978 acres with 7% containment. There are a combined 1,500+ personnel working these fires.

Firing Ops are expected to continue along with direct line construction. Temps are once again back in the 80s. Thanks to the subscriber for sharing this view of Fire activity today.

Trooper Hayden Darst #447 is recovering in the hospital today after being involved in a crash Wednesday night. Just before 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, the Ardmore Police Department contacted OHP Troop F to advise of a pursuit on Interstate 35 southbound from the 33-mile marker. They advised our dispatch the vehicle then went eastbound on US-70 and requested OHP assistance.

Trooper Darst became the primary unit in the pursuit on US-77 southbound from US-70. Trooper Darst began to set up to perform a tactical vehicle intervention near US-77 and Sunny Ridge. The suspect deliberately turned into Trooper Darst’s vehicle, causing both cars to crash, and Trooper Darst’s vehicle to catch on fire.

We are extremely grateful to officers with the Ardmore Police Department on scene who helped pull Trooper Darst from his burning vehicle as well as other agencies in the area who have reached out to provide support. We also appreciate the support of the Oklahoma First Responder Wellness Division during this time.

The suspect was arrested on scene, taken to the hospital to be treated, and then booked into the Carter County Detention Center. Trooper Darst suffered serious injuries, but thankfully, none of them are considered life-threatening.

Our deepest condolences go out to the families, loved ones, and colleagues of Detective Sgt. Cody Becker, Detective Mark Baker, and Detective Isaiah Emenheiser. The LAPPL stands in solidarity with the Northern York County Regional Police Department and the Baldwin Park PD during this time of unimaginable loss.
