Cops arrest black man who was 'roaming the streets of Manhattan and committing hate crimes against white people - as shocking footage emerges of him hitting a 20-year-old woman over the head with a BRICK'. Todd Lyons (pictured) was arrested Friday and charged with three counts of hate crime assault. Video shows a shirtless man on the streets of Manhattan, launching attacks, left and right. Footage shows one woman, 20, hit from behind with a brick as the walks alone. 'This woman is lucky to be alive, she could have easily been seriously injured', cops say. ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Florida's 'Stand Your Ground' shooter has been found guilty of manslaughter in the killing of Markeis McGlockton, a jury has decided. McGlockton was shot and killed by Michael Drejka during a July 2018 dispute over a disabled person's parking spot at a Clearwater convenience store. Drejka admitted to shooting McGlockton last year, but his defense team had tried to argue it was a case of self-defense at trial. He will be sentenced October 10 and faces a minimum of nine-and-a-half-years in prison and a maximum of 15 years. The 49-year-old had been arguing with McGlockton's girlfriend for parking in a disabled spot outside a food store in Clearwater, Florida. #facepalm
Hong Kong pro-democracy protests took another violent turn as a standoff in a working-class neighbourhood descended into chaos. Riot police fired tear gas and baton-charged protesters who retaliated with a barrage of stones, bottles and bamboo poles, breaking an uneasy peace that had lasted several days. Frontline protesters - known as 'braves' - pulled together a barricade of traffic barriers and bamboo construction poles. As the afternoon wore on some fired stones from slingshots, prompting a charge from police, wielding batons and pepper spray. ๐Ÿ”ฅ #HK

Guns are a regional problem. We need to be looking at regional solutions. Given Congressโ€™ inability to forge a consensus on how to counter gun violence, states have been left to go at it alone. Thatโ€™s worked better in some places than others. California, for instance, has some of the strongest gun control laws in the country, and legislators continue to shore up weak points that emerge in the complicated and at times confusing matrix of statutes and regulations. It's raining in Hong Kong ๐Ÿ’ฆ #HK
Hong Kong police arrested 29 people after clashes overnight in which volleys of tear gas were fired to disperse anti-government protesters, they said on Sunday, as thousands regrouped in the west of the Chinese-ruled city in pouring rain. Rail operator MTR Corp suspended some services to try to prevent people gathering but protesters made it to a sports stadium in the vast container port of Kwai Chung, where they marched around the running track and took shelter in the stands. โ€œItโ€™s very unreasonable that the MTR suspended the service. I am also mad that the police use excessive force against the protesters,โ€ said Jo Chan, 30. โ€œHong Kong people should not beat each other. I come because I support the five demands.โ€ #HK
