High school sweethearts are killed in a car crash just MINUTES after getting married in Texas. Harley Joe Morgan, 19, and Rhiannon Boudreaux Morgan, 20, who knew each other since the eight grade, were pulling out of the driveway of a courtroom in Orange County where they tied the knot when the accident occurred. Police said Harley Morgan was driving a 2004 Chevrolet when he collided with a 2015 Ford F-250 pickup truck towing a trailer carrying a tractor and traveling south on Highway 87 on Friday at 3pm, according to KDFM. 😢

Florida's 'Stand Your Ground' shooter has been found guilty of manslaughter in the killing of Markeis McGlockton, a jury has decided. McGlockton was shot and killed by Michael Drejka during a July 2018 dispute over a disabled person's parking spot at a Clearwater convenience store. Drejka admitted to shooting McGlockton last year, but his defense team had tried to argue it was a case of self-defense at trial. He will be sentenced October 10 and faces a minimum of nine-and-a-half-years in prison and a maximum of 15 years. The 49-year-old had been arguing with McGlockton's girlfriend for parking in a disabled spot outside a food store in Clearwater, Florida. #facepalm

Guns are a regional problem. We need to be looking at regional solutions. Given Congress’ inability to forge a consensus on how to counter gun violence, states have been left to go at it alone. That’s worked better in some places than others. California, for instance, has some of the strongest gun control laws in the country, and legislators continue to shore up weak points that emerge in the complicated and at times confusing matrix of statutes and regulations.
