NEW: A small single-engine Cessna made an emergency landing Sunday afternoon in an agricultural field near Henry Mayo Drive and The Old Road in Valencia, prompting a large response from Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics.

Fire officials said the aircraft went down in the field shortly after 5:08 p.m. Emergency crews arrived to find the plane upright with no smoke or fire visible. The two occupants on board were able to evacuate on their own before first responders reached the scene.

Multiple Los Angeles County Fire Department units, including Engine 76, Battalion 6, and paramedics, were dispatched, along with AMR ambulance crews.
The small plane, identified by its tail number as a Cessna, came down in a crop field just west of Interstate 5. From the ground, the landing appeared controlled, and firefighters could be seen surrounding the aircraft as a precaution while medics checked the passengers.

Engine 58 reports they and Detroit EMS Medic 24 are safe and inside quarters. Detroit Police 9th Precinct on scene. ICYMI: Detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man dead in a Sawtelle alleyway early Sunday morning, police confirmed.
The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department, near the intersection of Missouri Avenue and Sawtelle Boulevard.

The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office, NY sadly announced the death of retired Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo announces passing of retired K-9 Bowe. Bowe lived with his partner Sgt. Langto and family.

At about 3:20 this morning, an FPD officer returning to town on HWY 61 observed a southbound vehicle swerve into the northbound lane. After avoiding a collision with the vehicle, the officer turned around and received permission from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office to stop the vehicle.

The vehicle continued south on HWY 61 and eventually stopped at a convenience store where the driver was taken into custody by Sheriff's Deputies for an impaired driving offense. We all have family, friends and neighbors using area roads and we are thankful nobody was injured by this driver.
