UPDATE: Two people are dead after a shooting incident Friday evening on Thunder Hill Road in Lapwai, Idaho, according to Nez Perce County Sheriff Bryce Scrimsher.

There is no active shooter at this time, Scrimsher said.

South Carolina: A Richland County deputy was injured and a nearby middle school placed on lockdown after a high-speed pursuit ended in chaos Friday afternoon.

According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, 52-year-old Michael Evans was arrested after leading deputies on a chase that began when he failed to stop for a traffic violation.

While deputies attempted various tactics to get him to surrender, a lighter in the backseat of Evans’ car reportedly caught fire, forcing him to surrender.
During the incident, nearby Dent Middle School was placed on ‘Secure’ status as a precaution. The school later resumed regular operations.

SAINT PAUL, MN: Mounds Blvd. & Interstate 94 – Medics have been requested for a State Patrol trooper injured while deploying stop sticks during a pursuit. Radio traffic reported the trooper suffered a “degloving” injury to his hand. The pursuit began on I-35W southbound near County Rd 96 in New Brighton after the driver fled a traffic stop. The State Patrol helicopter is tracking overhead as the chase is ongoing, currently near Linwood Ave. E. & McKnight Rd. S. in Maplewood.

Units have taken the driver and passenger into custody after the driver crashed near Linwood Ave. E. & McKnight Rd. S. in Maplewood. An officer is checking the area of Energy Park Dr. and the bus transit way to search for an item that was thrown from the vehicle.

Paramedics clarified the trooper suffered a laceration to a couple of fingers that will likely require stitches.

Texas: Disturbance at high school football game in SE Houston sends people running from stands

HPD is currently investigating an incident at Barnett Stadium that sent students running during the Yates vs. Maddison football game.

Lt. Larry Crowson told Eyewitness News there was "stomping" on the metal bleachers which people thought were gunshots. He said no weapons or shell casings were found.
