NEW: A 49-year-old Yuba City, California man has been sentenced to 10 years and eight months in prison after leading police on a chase and ramming a patrol vehicle.
In December 2022, David Mattu was seen driving over the Yuba City Police Department's lawn and doing a donut on Poole Boulevard, police said.

Elderly Pedestrian Seriously Injured, SDPD Officer Hurt During Traffic Investigation
San Diego, August 18, 2025: A serious crash in the Banker’s Hill neighborhood Monday night left an elderly man hospitalized with major injuries and a San Diego police officer injured during the follow-up investigation.
The incident happened around 9:14 p.m. at 6th Avenue and Grape Street. According to police, an elderly female driver struck an elderly male who was walking in the crosswalk. The man was knocked to the ground and suffered major head trauma. He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
While officers were conducting a traffic investigation at the scene, a female driving a red Tesla drove through the crime scene perimeter. Officers attempted to have her back up, but she struck one of them in the leg. The officer sustained minor injuries.
