On August 11, 2025, while returning to the station after already working overtime due to an earlier stabbing investigation, Denver Police Officer Isfahani, who is assigned to District 1, noticed a vehicle swerving and nearly causing a crash. Concerned for everyone’s safety, he conducted a traffic stop. When the officer approached the driver, he found her visibly shaken, crying, and struggling to speak. Through calm and compassionate conversation, Officer Isfahani learned that she had just received news that her 18-year-old daughter had been in a serious crash on I-25 and was taken to the hospital. Realizing the driver was too distraught to continue driving safely and had no other way to reach the hospital, Officer Isfahani and Sergeant Duran stepped in to help. To ensure she could be with her daughter as quickly as possible, Sergeant Duran relieved Officer Isfahani and personally provided the mother with a courtesy transport to the hospital. 👏

NEW: Gang member arrested attempting to enter the country illegally!

8/8: A 39-year-old Mexican national with gang affiliation was arrested after he and another alien man, illegally crossed into the U.S. through the desert, SW of Tucson.

Agents tracked and arrested the pair and conducted records checks on both.  During the checks, it was discovered one of the men, was previously deported from the U.S. on several occasions, and had criminal history in Nevada as well as Texas. 

While processing this illegal entry, agents also learned he was affiliated with "Sureños", a Mexican street and prison gang. Now both men will be prosecuted for illegal entry into the country and could face incarceration as well as removal from the country if found guilty. 

Interesting Fact: This gang member worked illegally in the construction industry in the past. FYI
