ICYMI: Multiple roads were blocked and two were injured in Illinois after a trail derailment spilled hazardous materials.

The train derailment happened on E 170 road near the cities of Browns and Bellmont.

According to an official with Browns Fire Department, first responders believe Sulphur and other chemicals are leaking into the air.

The mayor of Bellmont says two employees of the train company have been sent to the hospital with injuries.

Clean up is now underway.

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: A man, possibly an off-duty border Agent or CBP, was shot in the face during a robbery attempt in Fort Washington Park, NYC late Friday night.

Police say two armed suspects on a moped approached the victim and a woman around 11:50 p.m. After a brief struggle, one suspect opened fire.

The victim returned fire with his own gun before the suspects fled.

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: Four people were killed in a fiery crash overnight on the 605 Freeway in Norwalk.

It happened just before 1 a.m. along the southbound lanes, just north of Rosecrans.

It's unclear how many vehicles were involved in the crash, but at least one of them burst into flames, according to the California Highway

California: A Watsonville police officer sustained injuries following a crash involving their department-issued motorcycle and a pickup truck on Wednesday afternoon.

The collision occurred around 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Airport Boulevard and Holm Road, according to local authorities.

The officer was reportedly on duty and operating a police motorcycle at the time of the incident. The second vehicle involved was a Toyota Tacoma. Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene and transported the injured officer to a nearby hospital for treatment. The officer’s injuries were described as moderate but not life-threatening.

The driver of the Toyota Tacoma was not injured and remained at the scene to cooperate with the investigation. Officials have not released details on what caused the collision, and it is unclear whether any citations were issued.

Airport Boulevard was temporarily impacted while authorities assessed the scene and cleared the roadway.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Force Investigation Division is investigating an Officer-Involved Shooting that occurred in Olympic Division.

On June 5, 2025, around 9:10 a.m., Olympic Patrol Division uniformed officers responded to a radio call of an Assault with a Deadly Weapon suspect in the area of Western Avenue and Washington Boulevard. The comments of the call indicated that the suspect was pointing a mini-shotgun at passing vehicles.

Upon arrival, officers observed the suspect, later identified as 37-year-old Roberto Gonzalez Flores, on the north sidewalk of 18th Street. Flores was holding an object that resembled a sawed-off shotgun. Officers issued multiple commands to drop the weapon, which Flores disregarded. Flores then walked to the south sidewalk and concealed the weapon in his waistband.

A short time later, Flores removed the weapon and pointed it in the direction of the officers, resulting in an Officer-Involved Shooting. Flores was struck by gunfire and subsequently taken into custody without further incident. The Los Angeles Fire Department transported Flores to a local hospital, where he received treatment for his injuries.

The investigation determined that the weapon in Flores’ possession was a metal pipe that had been modified to resemble a sawed-off shotgun. The item was collected at scene and booked as evidence.

No officers or community members were injured as a result of this incident.

Operation Southern Slow Down is a joint effort to reduce speeding. Officer Sineath and his K9 partner, Rio, had stopped a motorist for speeding-going 90 in a 70 mph zone. While they were engaged with the traffic stop, a distracted driver side-swiped the officer's vehicle and the motorist involved.

Fortunately, everyone-officer, motorist, and K9 Rio-is okay. During the response, another officer from a different agency was also rear-ended by a distracted driver.
