Lightning Strikes During Thunderstorm in Missoula County. War of the Worlds began? โšก๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ฑ #WTF?
Hundreds of pro-democracy protesters packed Hong Kong airport's arrivals hall today and targeted tourists with leaflets about how their city was 'torn apart.' The demonstrators, mostly youngsters and wearing black t-shirts, distributed flyers headlined 'Dear travellers' above artwork depicting the months-long protests that have plunged the city into chaos. 'You've arrived in a broken, torn-apart city, not the one you have once pictured. Yet for this Hong Kong, we fight,' the flyers said. The increasingly violent protests are posing a grave challenge to Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

US doctors are calling for an end to maligned conversion therapies that claim to change peoples' sexual orientations in a top medical journal. Conversion therapy's dark history has seen doctors shock, hypnotize and castrate patients whose sexual orientations they wrongly deemed medical issues. Same-sex marriage is at long last legal in all 50 US states and LGBTQ+ rights have been greatly expanded - but it's still legal to subject children under 18 to conversion therapy in 32 states. Doctors and professors from Harvard University, Boston University and the University of Texas, Austin, are demanding an end to the so-called 'treatments' that they say are traumatic, unethical and raise serious mental health risks, they write in the New England Journal of Medicine. Map: LGBTQ+ minors can still be legally subjected to conversion therapy in 32 US states (yellow), point out US doctors urging for a federal ban on the traumatic practice. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Suspicions are growing today that Russia has suffered another nuclear accident after ambulances covered in protective film were seen transporting six people with serious radiation poisoning in a mystery explosion at a military base. Alarming footage also shows men in protective clothing loading casualties into the vehicles in the wake of a blast at the Nyonoksa weapons testing site in the sub-Arctic Arkhangelsk region yesterday. Moscow has thrown a veil of secrecy over the explosion, which killed two and left six injured on Thursday. Today, reports surfaced in Russia claiming the spike in radiation may have been caused when one of Vladimir Putin's top secret Zircon hypersonic missiles exploded during tests. ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
