Torrez and the NM SC are making perjury great again.
In a statement, Torrez praised the ruling and said that, “Jurors must be able to deliberate freely, without fear of being called to testify or having their identities exposed after a verdict is rendered.”
Torrez also highlighted the importance of protecting the “finality and integrity” of a juror’s decision and saying that it is, “essential to maintaining public trust in our criminal justice system.” The simple fact is Torrez was granted his request to subvert true justice and push a political agenda. This was never about exposing the juror, this was about a law abiding officer getting a fair trial. The trust in our justice system is gone thanks to our New Mexico Department of Injustice.
