From the Tucson Police Officers Association: βUnacceptable Assault on Tucson Police Officers
We recognize and appreciate the many individuals who participated peacefully during this weekendβs demonstrations. Their decision to express themselves respectfully reflects the values of our Tucson community.
Unfortunately, that same event was disrupted when a separate group broke away and began vandalizing property near East 22nd Street and South Country Club Road. As officers moved in to address the criminal behavior, one of the suspects assaulted three Tucson Police Officers with pepper spray.
Those responsible have been identified and were taken into custody.
Let us be clear: assaulting a police officer is a serious crime. It puts officers at risk and undermines our ability to protect our community.
Our officers showed restraint and professionalism under direct attack. The Tucson Police Officers Association stands firmly behind our members and will not tolerate violence against those who serve and protect.β

Baton Rouge Police Officer Critically Injured in Targeted Attack:
Message from Chief Thomas βTJβ Morse:
Todayβs senseless act of violence against our Baton Rouge Police Officer is absolutely unacceptable. This behavior against law enforcement Officers will not be tolerated and will result in the highest appropriate criminal charges and enforcement. The East Baton Rouge Sheriffβs Department is leading the investigation.
Thank you to the citizens of Baton Rouge that cried out for help, calling 911 on behalf of Sgt. Eisworth after witnessing him being targeted and attacked while simply doing his job, proudly serving our community.
With a heavy heart, Iβm calling on all of Baton Rouge to join our Department in lifting our Officer and his family up in prayer, as he needs and deserves each and every one. Our entire department is rallying behind his health at this time.
Making it home after each shift is what I pray over every one of my Officers each day. Iβm asking everyone to join me in that prayer now. Letβs fervently pray Sgt. Eisworth back home to his loved ones.

NEW: Violent convicted felon and Oregon Antifa member Joshua Ames Cartrette, 46, is among the first two Antifa militants to be federally charged for allegedly violently rioting outside the @ICEgov building.
On June 14 after the "No Kings" protest, Cartrette allegedly was part of the mob that rioted. He uses the alias "Zero" in Antifa. He's been charged with assault of a federal officer.
A federal judge released him without bail.
Cartrette has long been featured in writings published on the It's Going Down violent extremist Antifa blog. He spent years in prison for multiple violent felonies and was recently released, only to return to political violence immediately, allegedly.
