POLICE OFFICERS INJURED IN ASSAULT: Two Honolulu Police Department (Official Site) officers, ages 40 and 39, were treated at a hospital after being assaulted by a 25-year-old man in Makiki.

The incident occurred when officers responded to a 911 call about a man acting erratically and armed with a knife. The suspect was arrested and faces two counts of Assault Against a Law Enforcement Officer in the First Degree. No weapons were involved in the assault.

The Lakeland PD, Florida, sadly announced the death of retired police K9 Valor. K9 Valor was the loyal partner of Sergeant Cory Bowling and served the Lakeland Community for eight years.
