The Tempe Police Department, Arizona, sadly announced the death of Officer Drew Nystrom died on Saturday, May 31, at the age of 52.
Drew began his journey with our department in 1999 and after a brief time away, returned in 2007, faithfully serving until his passing. Drew was a devoted public servant, who worked as a Field Training Officer in patrol and as a detective in the Criminal Investigations Bureau, specializing in document crimes. He received numerous accolades over the years.
