It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Baldwin Park Police Department announces the tragic death of Officer Samuel “Sam” Riveros, who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting our community.Yesterday, Officer Samuel Riveros, Officer Anthony Pimentel, members of our Department, and assisting law enforcement agencies, responded to an extremely dangerous situation. They acted with the bravery and professionalism that define the finest in law enforcement. In that moment, Officer Samuel Riveros made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the lives of others and the community in which he served. Officer Anthony Pimentel, also in the face of danger, was injured and released from the hospital early this morning.Today, we mourn a courageous officer, a respected colleague, and a beloved friend. Officer Samuel Riveros began his service with us as a Public Safety Trainee on April 3, 2016, and was sworn in as a Police Officer on September 11, 2016. His commitment to excellence led to his selection for the SWAT Team on July 1, 2019, where he served with honor for over five years. Most recently, he was appointed as a Field Training Officer on July 21, 2024, a testament to his leadership and mentorship.A proud UC Irvine graduate, Officer Samuel Riveros was known not only for his tactical skills and professionalism, but for his love of snowboarding and his unwavering loyalty to the Los Angeles Dodgers. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the example he set.We extend our deepest condolences to the Riveros family, his loved ones, and all who had the honor of serving alongside him.At this time the Riveros family has asked for privacy during this tragic time.

Heartbreaking Update: The Bloomfield Police Department, New Mexico reported that Officer Timothy Ontiveros has died from gunshot injuries.

Officer Timothy Ontiveros passed away on Sunday, 6/1/2025 due to injuries sustained during a shooting on the night of Monday, 5/26/2025.

Officer Ontiveros was conducting a traffic stop in Bloomfield, NM when he was shot multiple times by the driver, Despite multiple surgeries and tireless efforts from medical staff made for his survival and recovery, Officer Ontiveros passed away as a result of his injuries on Sunday, 6/1/2025.

“Officer Ontiveros was a valued member of the Bloomfield Police Department. In his short time with the agency, he demonstrated kindness, professionalism, and dedication to the safety of the community he served”.  “We are all grieving his loss and ask for your prayers and support for the family of Officer Ontiveros and the Bloomfield Police Department as we navigate this tremendous loss.”

Officer Ontiveros has been with the Bloomfield Police Department since December 2024 and previously worked for the Farmington Police Department. Additionally, he served as a volunteer firefighter for the Aztec Fire Department since 2017.

BREAKING: Multiple people were injured in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, after a vehicle crashed into other cars and a crowd when the driver had a medical emergency.

The Gatlinburg Police Department said that six people were taken to the hospital after the five-car crash on Parkway.

BREAKING: Three senior DHS sources tell FoxNews that the Boulder terror suspect is an Egyptian national in the U.S. illegally as a visa overstay who entered the U.S. during the Biden administration. I’m told Mohamed Sabry Soliman arrived at LAX on 8/27/22 on a B1/B2 nonimmigrant visa with an authorized stay through 2/26/23, but he overstayed & never left.

I’m told on 9/29/22, he filed some sort of claim with USCIS, potentially an asylum claim, and on 3/29/23, USCIS under the Biden admin gave him work authorization, which expired on 3/28/25.

UPDATE ON K9 SHOT: Waco Police Department, Texas K9 Officer Andor is in stable condition.

He has three gunshot entry wounds, two to his neck and one to his shoulder. His collar stopped one round, and the veterinarian providing care to Andor believes that the bulletproof vest he was wearing at the time he was shot stopped another. Andor will undergo an extensive medical procedure to help him recover and have mobility for a normal dog’s life. Unfortunately, this will force him into retirement.

The suspect, 18-year-old , was arrested and charged with six counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Interference with Police Service Animals, and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, all felonies.
