Please, pray for the Monroe police officer who was shot in the line of duty overnight. 🙏🏻

North Carolina: A Monroe Police Officer is in stable condition after being shot by an armed suspect during an early morning pursuit. Monroe Police shot and killed the armed suspect after an extensive manhunt.

At 1:45 a.m., a Monroe Police Officer driving along Old Charlotte Highway noticed a suspicious vehicle near Rocky River Road.

The driver took off and the officer pursued. Within four minutes, officers successfully deployed stop sticks, bringing the chase to an end on Goldmine Road near River Chase Drive. The suspect opened fire on officers hitting a female officer multiple times.

She was rushed to Atrium Main in Charlotte where she was treated and remains in stable condition.

The suspect ran into a heavily wooded area. The Special Response Team (SRT) began a manhunt with K9s, a drone, and assistance from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department helicopter.

At 3:52 a.m. Monroe Police Officers found the suspect. The suspect had a rifle and shot at the officers. The Special Response Team shot back, killing the suspect.

The suspect is identified as Joshua Hayden Sikes (W/M DOB:09/10/2006).

“This suspect intended to kill our officer, and by the grace of God she’s alive right now. Everyone on our team followed their training and acted decisively to stop a deadly threat. We stand firmly behind their actions and are grateful that our officer will eventually be able to go home to her family,” said Monroe Police Chief Rhett Bolen.

The State Bureau of Investigation will be handling the investigation, which is standard procedure in an officer-involved shooting.

We’d like to thank all of our partner agencies at the local, county, and state level who assisted in this investigation.

The Director and I have been using social media to highlight samples of the investigative work, crimes against children initiatives, counter-intelligence operations, and counter-terrorism initiatives, but I want to make sure we highlight some of the other important cultural changes we’re implementing within the FBI.

The accountability process is ongoing as we move disciplined, and focused, leaders into critical positions in the field. And, we are removing employees who have violated their oaths, and those who invited partisanship into the workplace. The process is ongoing, and will not stop.

Yes, as reported, we are making changes to the hiring process, the physical fitness requirements, and we are also looking at ways to enhance our defensive tactics training. We are looking at making these programs better because we want our agent workforce to have the physical skill set to de-escalate when necessary. This is a critical law enforcement skill when encounters can quickly turn into life or death scenarios.

We are also working on an enhanced compliance process to ensure many of the mistakes of the past are never repeated. Both the Director and I have had multiple meetings on this topic and we are working on substantive changes to current procedures. We must be held accountable, both internally to management, and externally to the people we work for, given the gravity of our responsibilities.

Have a good weekend, and thank you for your support. More updates and releases coming as soon as we finalize the products.
-Dan.

☀️As the weather heats up, pools are a great way to cool off—but safety comes first. Here are a few tips to keep everyone safe: ‼️

🔆Always supervise children around a pool or water💧
🔆Ensure gates and fences have high latches and are self-closing🔒
🔆If using a safety cover, ensure that it can support weight❗️
🔆Have rescue equipment easily accessible, like a long pole🛟
🔆Remove steps and ladders when not in use🪜
🔆Monitor drains, as they can create suction and be a danger for children🌀

Stay safe, stay alert, and enjoy the water responsibly.⚠️👙🩳🩴

NEW: A transtifa was arrested after an altercation turned physical outside of Buchanan High School in Clovis, California.

A disturbance was reported at around 4 p.m. between two adults at the intersection of Nees and Minnewawa.

This altercation was happening during the CIF State Championship at Buchanan High School.

The "protester" was on the sidewalk with a transgender flag and got into a verbal altercation with someone in a car about the controversy of one of the athletes participating.

The "protester" used the flag to assault the man inside the vehicle, but the man used pepper spray against the "protester".

EMS was called to the scene, and an investigation was conducted to look further into the situation.

Police say that the "protester" was identified as 19-year-old Ethan Kroll and was arrested for assault with a weapon, vandalism, and delaying an officer.

The Trump Administration is not playing games with the lives and safety of our ICE officers. People doxxing our officers and impeding ICE operations are siding with vicious cartels, human traffickers, and violent criminals.

President Trump campaigned on immigration enforcement, the American people voted for it, and DHS is delivering.

🎥Watch our special agents confiscate  a knife from a violent Venezuelan alien resisting arrest. This arrest was part of an operation that resulted in eight arrests — including one TdA member — with help from federal partners in San Diego May 29.

Our officers and agents often face extremely violent criminals carrying knives or firearms. Securing our nation can be exceptionally dangerous, but our officers and agents are honored to protect our communities .

JUST IN: I received the Hamas response to the United States’ proposal. It is totally unacceptable and only takes us backward.

Hamas should accept the framework proposal we put forward as the basis for proximity talks, which we can begin immediately this coming week.

That is the only way we can close a 60-day ceasefire deal in the coming days in which half of the living hostages and half of those who are deceased will come home to their families and in which we can have at the proximity talks substantive negotiations in good-faith to try to reach a permanent ceasefire.

Elected officials comparing ICE law enforcement agents to terrorists is SICKENING.

Attacks and demonization of ICE and our partners is wrong. ICE officers are now facing a 413% increase in assaults.

ICE is working day and night to remove murders, pedophiles, and gang members from American communities.
