South Carolina: A Horry County officer who was involved in a motorcycle crash earlier in the month is "healing up well," according to an update on Saturday.

The Horry County Police Department shared an image of the officer in a hospital bed surrounded by several department members, along with a brief update on his condition and a comment that they hope he will be able to leave the hospital soon.

At the time of the crash, the police department said the injured officer had a "long road to healing ahead," and the latest information suggests he is now in a physical rehabilitation program. Still, he was all smiles in the photo released Saturday.

"He was in great spirits when his fellow Traffic Enforcement Unit team members stopped by for a visit," the department said.

Please join us in sending prayers and, or, positive thoughts for his recovery. 🙏🏻
